"Oh, an' speakin' of plants: Torque, I believe da' bog is likely ta' contain ironwood trees, an' lots of well-burnin' peat. Do yah' tink' we can use any of it ta' improve da' Rose Lens?"

"Hmm, the ironwood trees would be useful for the armor plating, and the peat might serve as fuel for the propulsion system. The actual harvesting might be difficult, what with the whole "in the middle of a bog" thing, but it might be useful to keep an eye open for them."

Torque looked around on the way to the university to make sure there were no "surprises" on the way.

"I also vote for the bog. The sooner we get to the mansion the better." Torque picked up the scroll that had appeared and started writing on the back of it:

"Robbed bank, found slave papers belonging to Mycop. Little girls, Mycop's brand, not WG's. Off to mansion to retrieve girls, request assistance getting them somewhere safe. Back in an hour or so."

He then started waving the scroll in the general area where it had appeared, hoping that Browncoat's number-teleportation hole would send it back. "If he doesn't retrieve it, we'll just leave the scroll here and head off."

The Braken of Decay

The side path that you all take to reach the bog is unsurprising deserted though as you get closer there are some warning signs and later when you reach the edge there are skeletons of whatever creatures that weren't quite quick enough to escape. In the distance you all can still hear the pounding of cannons but now towards the front there is the screeching and cries of various beasts.
