I suppose I put that map together already for a reason.... but it needs to be updated, which means I have to go back through and reread what I gave you..

I've edited my latest post. There's two windows in the foyer. Storm just now pulled a curtain over the other one. So now both windows in the foyer should be covered.

Ditto. I have a hunch that one of the keys is in the dining room though. The rest of the keys are probably on the other rooms of the first floor of the house.

Sorry, missed the OOC thread last time 'round:

"Storm looks over the chalkboard, but the hoofwriting is fairly illegible. What you can decipher seems to refer to an experiment involving the table, the picture frame, and something called the "void window" (big letters, underlined). The symbols and equations are obviously notes and instructions for performing the experiments. Storm can pretty much follow the instructions, if a magic user was present to perform the necessary spells."

Technically, while not circular, it's a spell circle (in other words, symbol magic or ritual magic). So she's basically mentally going through the instructions to see what the result should be, based on her own and given knowledge. (And might as well toss in whether or not the candles are needed to be lit for the interaction, for the magical circuit/circle/ritual to be complete.

...And since I post late and night and sporadically, assume other PCs that Emerald shares this knowledge.

Just to clarify two points: Firstly, if you go back and look at the map, the crack and now hole are in the left side of the dining room area, while the chalkboard, table and picture frame are on the right.

Second, something that I maybe didn't make clear enough, but Storm and Emerald both knew from the notes that FH didn't make the window, he just knows of it and is experimenting with it (and the frame itself is just an ordinary frame, except for the circumstances of its use).

Figure out how to use it, or figure out what it is? Between what Emerald and Storm know about it, that's about all you're going to know about it for now. If you want to try to use it, you'll either need more comprehensive instructions, or you can try to brute force a reaction with Arcana/IW (odds are not good, though).

So. I'm not really sure what to do except the explore the house more or try solving the puzzle. I was hoping somepony would've run with my fishing line idea and see if they could find some rope.

Everyone go through the errata additions, see if anything has changed on your sheets. If a lot of it has, then i'll bump up the "swap out point" to immediately. Also, on that note, Fury they changed Focused evolution to a virtue. Basically the same effect, but you'll lose your element entirely if you still plan on getting it.
