The whole chests, intended to deter tampering or opening without a key- whether by picking, prying, smashing, moving, etc.

Well, define "Raw" material. Its generally any solid material that isn't flesh, so you could fabricate a wooden chest into a wooden door or table or beating stick- but yes, the trap would activate off of that as well. Not that it couldn't be done, period.

I was going to have Storm make an endurance check to get past the vertigo. OTOH, both Gearick and Emerald are unicorns, so they may be able to move it with PK. I'll mention it IC.

I was going to say, if you do it the same way, than you'd need an Endurance check.

Gearick, then, roll Endurance OR Arcana.

Fixed, BUT Emerald is kind of completely MIA.

Going to make an a Knowledge check on the chests for some hint to a solution because I'm somewhat stumped.

Someone please do. A Magic point will do it for certain, and I'm about ready to start giving out hints.
Emerald will assist with Arcana: 17+12=29.

Originally, you know, I was going to make grasping for straws Knowledge checks unassistable- since they'd be what you know, or can guess, not what others would tell you. It also works for a Solid easy to remember DC: 25, and you get the hint. That way, a dumb pony (5 Knowledge) would need a nat20 to "figure it out", while a smart pony would only need 15 (or 13, if 12 in knowledge), and a complete head-pantser with 3 can't figure it out.

Dodger's already opened G and H. H sprayed poison at him and had "Be."

That was the one that had "Follow" and the key to some other chest.

Did the 'H' chest have a key in it? It looks like it didn't, but I want to verify before I try anything else.

H did not have a regualr key, only the insignia and the paper that said "be." Ge had a key and the piece of paper said "Follow".

"Follow", F, was found in the first chest. "Be.", B was found in the second chest, and had no key in it. So do you mean you need to try F first?

What I mean is that if my understanding is correct, the right sequence should've been. 'G', then 'F'. Since we open 'H', instead of 'F', that means the new sequence should be 'H', than 'B'. But if 'H' was mistake in the sequence, that might meen we're still starting from 'G', in which case the next letter in the sequence should be 'F'.

So either
'H' than 'B'
or
'G' than 'F'

To make it clearer, if the first sequence is correct, probably the 'G' chest should close, since we're starting a new sequence. If the second sequence is correct, the 'H' chest should close since its not and never was valid for this place in the sequence.

The sequence is a fixed sequence, it's not Lt Surge's secret switches.

Completely forgot that puzzle. Had to look it up on youtube. Anyway, thats not what I'm talking about. There one's fixed sequence, but the question is, which part of the sequence are we referring to? Lets say the sequence, is, just hypothetically.

G,F,L,I,J,C,D,H,B,A,K,E

Lets say the sequence is such. If I do H, then B, then the next letter in the sequence will be A,K,E and then presumably it'll loop back to G and F until we hit all letters in the sequence. Or we could just just start at 'G', which would mean 'H' needs to close, as it comes into play later in the sequence.
