Sky Wolf had been silent though out the interrogation, allowing the others to do the talking. However, now that the crystal pony had revealed their mission and the reasons behind it, he spoke up. His normally calm voice now frigidly cold. "Those who do not learn from the past, are doomed to repeat its mistakes."

"The past is why you do this? I find that hard to believe." Sky Wolf said, not showing any reaction to be called a bird by the crystal pony. Using the fact that it was still dark to cast his gaze around at their other unconscious ponies, wondering what they should do with them.

The other crystal ponies were still unconscious from the prior battle. The gear the trio was given would subdue some but not all of them. "Well, it seems we're at an impasse. We view this as a divine right of the Crystal Empire that is denied by the current ruler's weakness. You seem to disagree. I'm sure we won't change each other's minds."

"So, let me get this straight. You believe that the crystal ponies have a divine right, a right given to them by a god or gods, to rule over the other pony races? Wouldn't mind hearing what the hell this 'right' of yours is." Sky Wolf said, contempt speaking into his voice as he spoke, afterwards however he leaned in close to the others and whispered. "Remind me, do we have a way on contact the guard from here?"

Diamond Dust's head was spinning from everything that was being said, but Sky Wolf's question helped him focus on what was important right now. He nodded, and pulled out the scroll. Dust whispered back "What do you think we should say? 'Found a bunch of Decadent Defectors in a cave, could use some help bringing them back?

"Acquired captives, cannot contain them all. Aid requested to ensure continued imprisonment." Sky Wolf said quietly in return, before turning his attention to the crystal pony. "Power? You say it is power which gives you the right to conquer, yet you could not even take down two ponies when you had an advantage of numbers, and might I point out that neither of these ponies are members of the guard? Even you cannot even defeat common ponies, you stand no chance against the guard."

After a minute, a scroll appeared in front of Diamond Dust's face. "Understood. We have tracked that position from the scroll. Sending aid immediately." Meanwhile, warmth starts to radiate from deep within the tunnel.

Dust was relieved that at least someone was coming to help, so he would be able to put down the pony soon. He started to tell the others when he noticed the weird heat coming from the tunnel. " Does anyone else notice something weird going on down there? he asked, indicating the place the warmth was coming from.

The heat seemed to be uniformly even with no sort of draft going through the tunnel. Likewise, there seemed to be a faint bit of non-flickering light radiating from that same direction. It slowly grew brighter as the heat grew warmer.

Sky Wolf frowned as he looked up, deeper into the cavern. A thought came to him, and he said quietly. "I'm assuming that's a fire of some sort. Possibly an released sunstone. A way to destroy any material or plans that they could not take with them during their escape."

Diamond Dust frowned. A fire? Something about the light, and the heat, didn't quite feel like a fire to him. But with weird magic fire like the one they fought earlier, who knew? "So, we should tell the ponies coming about that when they get here?

As if on cue, a tall stallion with a thick and greying beard approached the princess and bowed. "Good afternoon, Your Highness. There is...mail...that requires your attention. I'm sure you know who it would be from considering upcoming events. The tailors have also finished the final adjustments to your wardrobe. Both have been left in your quarters. I see you have a guest of importance so should I grant you and the good archaeologist leave or was there something you needed of me?"

The cave slowly started to gain the odor of ginger and seawater. "Ah. Not what I expected but that should do."

Sky Wolf stood his ground against the dizzying sensation and turned to count the crystal ponies, saying. "Diamond, Silver, how many ponies do you think you can carry? I believe we should vacate the cave." At the same time, his brow furrrowed, trying to think of what this ordor and dizzying sensation could mean.

Diamond Dust thought for a moment. He knew he could carry more ponies telekinetically than on his back under normal circumstances but it would be harder now.

"No not at this time old friend. I shall see to the message." Terra pauses for a moment. "On second thought Ancient Record is to be granted full access to the archives and a guard is to escort and accompany him." Terra nods slightly to each of them before taking her leave.

After being escorted to the archives, Ancient Record found himself inside a massive royal library. "I hope this fits your needs. The guard by the door will assist you or escorted you as per the Princess' wishes."

Upon returning to her quarters, Terra found a translucent envelope with which its contents inside could not be seen from the outside. Proceeding to undergo the special process needed to open it, she found the letter inside.
