Re: Non Sequitur: The Campaign
Tumbletop stays focused on Navi, ignoring the cat. After all, he'd dealt with bigger and trained ones in the circus. "What is that, anyway? Or...you can talk. What are you? How come you're afraid of cats? My friend Mason was a lion tamer. He let me pet the baby ones sometimes and they looked kinda like that one, only rounder and tanner and with more sharp bits. I don't think that's a lion, light ball thing."

"KITTYYYYYYYYYYY!" Runeheart screeches as he glomphs both Maddie and her held kitty.

Copper Rose wrote:Navi pays no attention to Tumbletop, and instead just goes into the room - then jumps up to the ceiling as a cat comes from seemingly nowhere, trying to pounce at her. "*** ****** **** ******* ****************** *** **** **** ***!!!!!!"
"Mind thy language!" I admonished the fairy. "It serves you right. You should have just gone and looked around for the kitchen instead of arguing."

"Navi is a fairy. She is supposed to be helpful, but of course she is not. I do not accept excuses, Navi; I just have to find myself a new fairy, that's all."

Androgyny thinks for a moment. Where did Blackberry go? She turns back into the throne room and sees her unconscious body. "Blackberry! Wake up! What's wrong with you? Come on this isn't funny," Androgyny says as she shakes Blackberry. "Wake up!"

"No? Fine then!"
"My, my, this Equestrian Pie
I asked Navi to go but Navi won't try;
The fairy is lost, but still she is mine
How I dearly wish she'd bring me some of that
Equestrian pie!"

"Seriously? You're dedicating an entire spell to making the fairy give you pie? Why not something like... I dunno, mind control, or making her something more useful? I'm disappointed in you Zachy Boy." Runeheart says, looking at Zach disappointingly.

Re: Non Sequitur: The Campaign
"Mind control is one of the most horrible things ever that can be done to anypony ever... Next to maybe mind-wipes..." Maddie mutters to herself both disappointed in Runeheart's & the newbie's comments and annoyed at them as well.
Re: Non Sequitur: The Campaign
"Uh, Zach? What are you- why can't I control my wings? Why can't I control my wings? YOU ******* I SWEAR, WHEN I GET BACK HERE WITH THAT PIE..." ...and off Navi goes, through the door and yelling at surprising volume for such a tiny creature.

"So less mind control and more body control. Interesting," I said out loud to nobody in particular. I decided to pull out my conjured map, and compared it to the one on the wall...
- Check:
- Perception? To see how accurate my map is.
Result: 1d20 (12) + Perception (5) = 17
Also, incidentally. How far away are these mountains we're going to? As ponies walk.

Re: Non Sequitur: The Campaign
"I will admit that body control magics isn't that bad compared to mind-control. Was funny to watch if nothing else." Mad Nopony comments thinking of trying to give Navi a power boost when she sees it next.
Re: Non Sequitur: The Campaign
The conjured map is in some parts more accurate than the one on the table, but in others far off. For one thing, it seems to show a few towns that don't exist, and doesn't show ones that do. For another, it is far off scale, if the one on the table is to be trusted. There are also some strange ladder markings spreading like a web across Equestria, and where Canterlot should be, there are instead ruins.

Re: Non Sequitur: The Campaign
"For some reason when I look at this map... My mind is screaming paradox..." Maddie comments with a hint of worry. "WE SHOULD BURN THIS MAP BEFORE IT DOES SOMETHING HORRIBLE TO SPACE AND TIME."
Re: Non Sequitur: The Campaign
Tumbletop glanced at it, eyebrows raised. "It's just a wrong map. What would it do that'd be so bad?"

Re: Non Sequitur: The Campaign
"Hey, I've been though spacetime paradox's before... So I think when I feel there might be some type of time-danger in something... I bet there is!" Mad Nopony explains. "Cause... I fear it's not a "wrong map" but a map showing future equestria... Or one future timeline of equestria..."
Re: Non Sequitur: The Campaign
Tumbletop looked like his head was spinning. "Ummmmm...okay? I get the feeling this is all a bit over my head, so I'll just assume you're talking about wizards."

As I examined the map I could vaguely hear voices in the background. I tuned them out; something was seriously wrong here. What were the ladders all over it? What where all of these new towns? "Ponyville"? "Appleloosa"? "Manehattan"? It took a while to connect the dots. It happened when I realised Canterlot was substantially further north than it ought to be.
Where it should have been it said "Ruins".
It clicked quite suddenly, and I found myself screaming.
"I HAVE SEEN THE FUTURE! CANTERLOT WILL FALL!"
I pointed excitedly at the two points on the map. "Look! Ruins were Canterlot should be! Canterlot where there is only a mountain! New towns that don't exist! This is a map of the future!" A dawning realization hit me.
"We must destroy Canterlot so it can be re-built on the mountain!"

Re: Non Sequitur: The Campaign
At this point, Tumbletop knew for certain that this was not a normal occurrence. His eyes widened with fear and a shiver ran through him. "I...I don't know if I can help you with that in good conscience. And I think I should probably be running away and finding someone to help right now."

Re: Non Sequitur: The Campaign
Maddie sighs, seeing the overreactions, and summons a mod-imp that will hopefully solve everything relating to the Future-Map. "RET-GONE-BOMB GO!"
- Magecraft:
- Risk-of-Doom Check: 1D100 => 2... Safe
Magecraft Check: 1D20+20 => [ 10 ] +20 = 30 -5(instant) +5(HoC) +10(Magic Point) = 40 to magecraft the map gone and the possible-paradox-ish info that was seen in their to be gone too. If possible. After all it's a "Ret Gone" bomb Mad Nopony threw here. Then again, I'm equally fine with the results just being to removing the "future-details" from the map and we forget them too... We'd recall they were there, but not what they were. In fact let's say the second idea happened yes?
Re: Non Sequitur: The Campaign
"NO FIGHTING!" Runeheart says, trying to stop all this by: stopping the bomb from hitting the ground, bonking Zach on the head with a rolled up map while he's speaking, and grabbing Tumble by the tail as he's running. "IT'S A STUPID MALFUNCTIONING MAGIC MAP! STOP RUNNING AWAY FROM THE REST OF US, BEING REALLY DESTRUCTIVE, AND BLOWING THINGS UP OVER IT!" He shouts.
- Arcana check just in case.:
- 7 + 18 + 10 (Magic point) = 45
