Since at least 2 of us have vengeance, and the heads are separately targettable, can you specify which head is doing which action?

While Fury is correct on the order, I'll make sure to state that for future attacks.

Doc, the flavor text says you're healing Living Lightning but the battle text says Evil Eye, which is it?

Yes, next turn. Thus, you have a chance to save against it without taking extra damage.

"Challenge: When a creature is Challenged, it’s always Challenged by another creature. A creature can only be Challenged by one creature at a time, so if it is Challenged by a new creature, the old Challenge goes away. So anything that doesn't target you that deals damage is a good bet.

Pretty sure it triggers with AOE, thus the attack on Living Lightning so it wouldn't trigger the challenge.  I'm counting all attacks and the first turn application of this enemy's ongoing damage application (basically the snake attacks that remove armor).

EDIT: Double checked the Basic Powers list and ongoing damage without direct damage is not tagged as a an attack. Added attack tags to the OOC for the other attacks. Living Lightning doesn't get the Challenge damage since he was hit by the multihit attack from the lion. Added the neglected Weakness subtractions.

I've been very precise about when my challenge activates. Honestly, the fact that it happens so rarely is a sign that I'm doing this tanking thing more or less correctly.

Also, I've edited my HP total to match the new damage.

Was getting Challenge and Vengeance mixed up. My bad on that.

Um, that second saving throw is a 6 so that would have removed it.

I know Quickdraw is what I'm picking for Supernova's first trait.

Ha. As for the other things... most of the retribution based stuff seems centered on challenges, although they do have one that gives extra energy for reactions. Don't know if that'll help.

And yeah. Currently there are only 3 actual upgrades for spellblade, and one is legendary. No wonder I've been picking mostly ranger traits when planning level-ups. Maybe we could go find a place to make suggestions and ... make suggestions?

I'm curious to how popular bladespells are in other campaigns here. Due to various reasons, I don't think the devs anticipated their popularity. Plus, they underwent a major buff before finalized.

What kind of buff?

I don't know if they're popular, that's what I'm curious about.

Sunbeam and I had been discussing some things when the system was first released on how some things weren't as flexible or feasible as they initially seemed. Bladespells were one of these since the prior form had the effect expire at the end of the turn. Thus, if none of your teammates had Warlord powers, you were pretty much stuck with bladespell -> standard attack. In forming the sample builds, it was figured that these would be really good for tanks if it lasted longer. After heavy discussion with Dan and the rest, it got changed to the current form where they don't expire.

This is an example of different thought processes affecting things. It's possible bladespells were only viewed as a supplement to your strategies instead of being the whole strategy. They aren't the only thing with rather few trait options. That said, they explicitly want at least some mix of choices than only being narrow.
