While I know that neither shark nor vulture are a player race, I'm going to circle this thread looking for dead PCs anyways. It happens. Then, we feed!

Either way, I like your campaign setup. High suspicion everywhere from the looks of it. Can it be assumed Celestia was seen in her casket at the funeral (she's really, really dead as totally common knowledge)? Also, as it is vague as Tartarus in canon, how well-known are the EoH that are vouching for Luna? (Since in-canon during the gala it seems like nopony knows them despite them being painted on the walls).

I think because of both the "Pinkie's Brew" stuff, how long this campaign seems to be going before it really even starts, and the fact I'm going to be starting my own, I'm going to drop out of this one. I'd say you built a really intrestesting world to play in... Just I've not willing to wait for a campaign that might never be. Later everyone...

But Robot was also designed to be fluffed out to your needs, so it could be a magically animated thing. Or coin operated. I just really love the style of those bots and wanted it.

I asked earlier in thread about using the robot template, and that was nixed, because we're only using 1950's technologies. However golem makes it sound more magical, so might get approved.

Yes, but the Template is a) a joke and b) an impossibly advanced thing, decades ahead of even cutting edge research today.

And as I said, TF2 is set in the 50's. Late 50's but that excuse was just wiggling room. I just really want to play a robot that looks like the Machines, with the jerkiness and constant juddering.

If Bonymous lets you play a robot it's going to be a little weird that he wouldn't let me play my hoverboard guy.

In what timeline were hover boards a feature of the 50's? Not to be impolite, but I've already said - the 'robot' I'm talking about could just as easily be magical or clockwork, it makes no difference due to the power of Pocket Lint.

I'm sorry in what timeline in MLP were robots in at all? If you're looking for any OTHER fictional setting where hoverboards existed in the 50's....what? How is that relevant? Congrats I just made one up. It was the arbitrary unrelated fictional universe where everything was exactly the same as irl except that there are hoverboards.

I can more easily make an excuse for a partially magic hoverboard than you can for any kind of robot, clockwork, golem or otherwise. All the magic has to do in my case is create force. So, not to be not rude but, don't say you're not being rude when you are. I only predicted how I believe Bronymous will decree. Your response for why your arbitrary excuses for why you should have what you want and I not are irrelevant since he's just going to tell both of us no anyway.

Edit: To be more precise, he already told me no to that or even anything that would grant the same effect by means at all similar.

I'm sorry if my post came across as rude to you, but it was unintentional if there, and while I agree that you are completely correct in this case, your response may have been a little aggressive.

No robot, sorry. I'm sure you've spent a good deal of time conceptualizing and polishing it off, but robot, android, golem, warforged, what have you, will not fit into this setting. I myself have a few concepts that I have been unable to try out due to game restrictions. But if it doesn't fit, then it doesn't fit.

Okay then, l'll roll up a squishy meatbag like all the sane people. But yeah, I was totally trying to squeeze that concept where it didn't fit. Mmm, what would be a good concept... I kinda liked the archer concept that cardboard ditched, but I'll get thinking.

I've changed the flavour a bit from that point, though. But I think looking through the ability choices and whatnot, you can clearly see her influence remains. Luckily I switched the personality significantly. So without further a due: Emma!

Would it be unreasonable to give him some sort of weapon like a crossbow? I just like the idea of a character that doesn't only attack by punching things.

IIRC it's no powerup items but fluff items within the tech level are fine, so I think your three Crossbow combat skills are alright, especially considering you've got claws to manipulate it.

Looks good. What I may suggest. That last combat talent at -17 pips seems to be a waste. All your plus pips are +1, so you'll rarely ever get a chance to use it unless its a really, really prolonged combat. I'd suggest either getting rid of that combat talent, or swapping in some talents that give more +pips per turn.

Yeah, I doubt it will ever get used at that rate of PiP accumulation. 17 pips is more than a character will spend in most battles altogether, and with +1s it could only ever happen in the Final Boss Fight, and even then only maybe.

You may absolutely use a crossbow. As long as how it is used in combat aligns with one or more Combat Talents- and yours does- then it's perfectly acceptable. Just remember that those talents are the ONLY way to get a shot off, though, in combat. So if you decide you want to take a shot at a guy, it will most likely initiate combat, and everything that entails.

Unfortunately, I think Raven and Appkes put me at six, which is my tentative limit (I've heard six is a good number to stop at). I should also point out Javolt is dangerously close to, if not breaching, the technological limitations that I already had to nix two different characters on (and yes, I am aware that the tech described is pre 20th century, but it's still an issue here). If you like, you can have a waiting list spot, but your character will need, at the very least, some minor tweaking to fit into the game.

On a slightly related note, what is it with you people and capes?

And as for IO, you can have it if you want, but the two fastest combos to use it still only get it out turn 5, and that's with the moves that grant the most pips per turn. Unless you just stuck it on there as your last talent because you had no intention of using it anyway.
