"HAY WHOEVER IS IN THERE GET AWAY FROM THE SIDE THAT I AM GOING TO TAP ON!" Sparks then tapps three times on the the face of the safe to the right of the door. After spending a few seconds to cast a spell he strikes at the wall of the safe.Paper Shadow wrote:Your impressive leaps lands you right in the middle of the stage, and with Ponykinesis, you manage to clear the smoke in a small area around you, but it isn't much. In a blink of an eye, Sparks and Moonshot, you find yourselves are no longer in the midst of the smoke-filled stage, but rather in a large, empty room, with no lights other than that which comes in from the windows to both sides. There are also large metal doors at both ends of the room. The safe is also there (and Moonshot, you are still inside the safe, and you can still feel all the other ponies, even if you can't see or hear them)...

Horse apples. It didn't throw Mental Magic off his game as he'd hoped. Moonshot continues to focus his magic while Sparks made his attempt, preparing himself to start blasting apart the safe and doors if the weakening magic didn't work. And also to perforate the enchantment if breaking the glass box open wasn't enough.
- Spoiler:
- Moonshot will invoke Breaking Shot (1MP) if necessary to escape from the cage (eg. Strengthening enchantment stops the more standard effect), and also to dispel the magic on himself and his fellow volunteers if it persists after the glass cage is breached. He also invokes it if asked to by Sparks. He is happy to follow suggestions if they come up. Note that Sunderblade mode lasts for 10 minutes if you choose to ask for it, Tyger.

You easily punch a hole and expand it. When you do, you are pushed back with the force of a small stampede, but you don't see how. Moonshot, you feel all the ponies in the safe rush out of the newly-formed hole...tygerburningbright wrote:

As for guards, when you approach the doors of the building, you see the doorway is blocked by a light blue pegasus wearing a fancier version of the cap you saw Moonshot wear, and an earth pony towering next to him. At least, you think it's a pony. The pony is entirely covered in a well-polished, golden-plated armour, with only his red mane and tail showing. You can only see his eyes though the slits in his helmet if you look very close. He is also decorated with a red sash around its chest. Both the armoured pony and his pegasus companion have their heads turned to the right, looking into the building, although they seem to be exiting and they have paused to see something...
"What's up with him?"
The pegasus shrugs. "Maybe Monsieur Sunstrike is late for a meeting?"
They exit the building and head down the steps that lead into it...

Re: Adventures in Saint-Trotez - On Set (Episodes 1 - 3)
Aces breathed out a patient sigh, reviewing what he knew in his head as he calmly exited the building through the front doors, walking through the crowd to get there. Not that he was really in a hurry -if the pony on stage was captured, there was no more work to be done, and if he wasn't then Mental Magic had to go somewhere, and the best place to find out where that "where" was was to ask the criminal underbellly of the city - somepony had to know something, after all. Plus there was always the chance Aces would run into the magician on his way out.
He hoped he did, to be honest. Grandstanding? Sueprnatural powers? Stock stuff, really. But threatening foals? Aces could tell the colt didn't want to, but the fact of the matter was he did. Celestia help him if Aces caught up to him.

- Again, not in any real hurry to get out, so no real need to fight through the crowd and therefore no need to roll - though I admit I am assuming the doors are unlocked. If they have been locked...that creates some plotholes, but more importantly:

Re: Adventures in Saint-Trotez - On Set (Episodes 1 - 3)
The doors are open. Everyone in the audience have more or less left. There's a lot of panicky parents and whatnot, and a few ponies who are trying to find the closest guard to tell them what has happened, but a lot of the ponies are too shaken about what has happened to know what they are going to do now...AProcrastinatingWriter wrote:

Re: Adventures in Saint-Trotez - On Set (Episodes 1 - 3)
Moonshot clambers out of the safe, and attempts to speak, dismissing his invisibility. After a moment, it becomes clear that it wasn't going to happen. This was a complete violation of personal space but when you couldn't be seen and couldn't make noise, personal space was a secondary concern.
First he prods him in the chest to get his attention. Then he lifts Sparks' hoof and presses it against the safe, then jabs him lightly three times on the left side of his chest, then once on the right. Then he runs his hoof in a circle on Sparks' flank, punctuating it with a jab in the centre.
He gives that a moment to sink in, then taps Sparks on the horn, and then presses his hooves over the other guard's eyes, and then his ears.
He draws the circle with the punctuated point again, then runs his hoof up Sparks' horn, following up immediately by placing his hooves over Sparks' eyes and sliding them off and then his ears and sliding them off, as though uncovering them. Then he prods the guard on the topside of his tail, then draws a cross on his flanks with upwards strokes, taps his mouth, and then draws straight vertical lines down the chest.
Then, as though to punctuate what needed to happen, he draws the cross with upwards strokes on Sparks' flanks, taps his mouth, runs his hoof down in straight vertical lines, and pushes Sparks' forehoof to a point directly in front of him. Then he draws the circle with the point on his flank, runs his hoof up the horn, and then does the hooves-over-eyes-sliding-off and hooves-over-ears-sliding-off again.

- Would like to retain that acrobatics because I rolled it explicitly to dispel the magic. On consideration, though, I think Moonshot might be unable to actually dispel the enchantment on himself, since he'd need to somehow bounce the blast into his own enchantment and there's nothing in the room that suggests its possible right now. Also touch-based communication is fun.
For clarity's sake, Moonshot is obviously always tapping and drawing on Sparks' body.

(Any actual familiarity bonus would require Freaky Knowledge in Saint-Trotez...)
You do know that, usually, if something is going down in the town, it's the thieves who'll know what's up. They can be usually found in the Tourist District, to the South East of where you are now. That's all you really know though...

After a small walk, you reach the Tourist District. There are barely any lights here, so the streets are dark when compared to everywhere else, but in reality it's not that much different from a normal city in the night. It's most likely to allow those who wish to sleep in the night to get some shut eye without the bright lights which shine all over the rest of the city interrupting them, but as a result, the thieves of the city prefer to operate here than anywhere else. After a bit of walking, you hear some cries of help in the distance...

Storm Blade overheard the two ponies, and was happy that he had found some fellow guards and quickly made his way to them/landed in front of them. "Sunstrike, running because magician kidnapped 30 ponies, threatening 'never been seen again' less Sunstrike confesses his sins. I'm Storm Blade, Royal Guard, Equestira. Need to capture Sunstrike and get to the bottom of this." Storm Blade spoke abruptly and quickly, hoping to get the information across as much as possible. He was hoping that his armour will identify himself as a Royal Guard, but he informed them that he was a royal guard just incase.

Storm Blade breaths a sigh of relief when the guards agree with him and start walking into the building. Following them, he streched his wings slightly, easing them from the hard activity he had done with them.
Once they got to the door, he waited until the armoured pony fully opening the door and signaled for him to step forwards. Following the order, he spoke up, cutting right to the case. "I was at the show, I chased you here. What are the 'sins' Mental Magic talked about?"
