Pala 1 is either generic paladin or Stanley, BTW (Rolf's choice?).
Pala 2 is Siph, unless Rolf wants to control that order in which case it's Pala 3.

So he's now eaten 85 damage, before turn 1 is over, he doesn't even GET a turn next round, and all he's really managed to do is get me even closer to doing even more damage.

145 total damage so far, everybody's near full health who wants to be, and the paladins are about to dogpile a broken skeleton. This should be good.

Ooh, character idea, a Lich that has had a change of heart and fights as a Paladin for good (or the light, or Pelor or whatever), but he has to hide his lichdom from the priests and other paladins.

Needs some work, logistically.

See, now this presents a dilemma.

On one hand, this might literally end the game here and there because Horizon just killed the BBEG. Well, not immediately end it, but you get the idea - you get a climactic (or anti-climactic?) finish, epilogue, and I detail most of the plans I originally put or sorta considered to put, as a sort of closure for you, me, everyone. An 'alternate ending' is essentially put in place, that leads to a campaign finish.

Or I could keep the game going until you rid the town of ALL threats as I sorta kinda planned, which may take a while (when did we start, 5 years ago? For a day and a night of 'session time'?), and basically go till it's done and done right. The problem I'm fearing here though, is that due to the game is being very "dragged on" and being of slow "progressing", it might end up turning into a never-finished/hiatus'd game (people leaving, being unable to play, me losing the ability to DM it, something happening to the forum...) which is a total buzz-kill for everyone involved, given how long it's been going so far.

I'd like your opinions please.

I think keep it going. I want the game to continue, and it doesn't necessarily need to continue with Zilean. There's stuff I have planned for the future, I'm betting Rolf (at least) has some neat stuff to do later, and there's other things we as a group haven't done yet. I don't care one way or the other if Zilean dies right here or not, my vote is the game continues in either case.

That said, there are plenty of ways to justify Zilean just not dying from this. Some kind of unholy redirect move, or that he's a Lich, which has its own reasons why, etc.

I would like the game to continue as well. I think there's still plenty left for us to do to save Fezaris, and I'm willing to go for as long as needed to bring this to a satisfying conclusion.

I do think that, at the very least, this combat should be over from Horizon's move. Possibly leaving Zilean as a disembodied head for a while, but that's your call.

Isn't Siph basically perfectly fine? He wasn't Defeated and Zthulan healed him on that last turn. He should still be conscious and mobile.

Zthulan dind't roll excellently, and he was hit by something higher level than him (or any of you). He's super lucky to be alive with a body remaining at all, much less conscious.
