Zilean's Revenge (Part 5)
Zarhon wrote: Two paladins, one of whom is Siph, accompanies Horizon and Zthulan. The other two start working to make a circle - in minute, they make a dim, yellow-glowing pool, roughly big enough for three to stand within (or five, if they choose to awkwardly invade each other's personal space).
"That's...decent, but let's see if we can make it better." Rolf looked over the circle to see if there was a way to boost it's effectiveness (or at least increase the radius a bit).

Zarhon wrote:Bob muses on the question. "Hm, well like I said, I got the not-tried spell I could use, which might help if we're being, well, mobbed. We could try using that device I gave you earlier as well, but I don't think we've got enough holy water for most of em, and they're not on fire to need the regular stuff. Oh, and... Erk, actually, never mind. That's all I've got. All up to you heroic types now."
Rolf looked over at Bob for a few moments. "Bob, we can only plan effectively if we are aware of ALL the options at our disposal. Even if whatever else you have sounds silly or requires materials we don't currently have, I would appreciate you telling us so we are at least aware of it. Now, what were you going to say after you talked about the water shooter?"

Re: Zilean's Revenge (Part 5)
Oh, and meanwhile:
Jeraylia unhitches the oxen and positions the wagon in front of the circle to provide an additional physical barrier. She moves the beasts of burden a short (but hopefully safe) distance away and ties them with a quick releasing knot.
Would the possibility exist to fire flaming arrows into the camp from defense base?
EDIT: Horses to Oxen (like magic!).

"Perhaps we can trade our ox in for a horse if we pass by a stable once this is all over." Whispers Zthulan as he follows Horizon.
Stealth: 18 + 6 = 24. Huh, the same roll, didn't notice that.

Re: Zilean's Revenge (Part 5)
Rolf's magic boosts the ward with a minor repelling effect, such that any mundane projectiles are likely to swerve away, hopefully missing their intended targets.
The assault team, taking advantage of the rigid, lifeless patrols, manages to sneak through an opening into the camp proper, taking refuge within the shadows of the wooden walls surrounding them. Taking another look at the status of the camp, it appears that it has been 'stripped bare' of some of it's previous lively features, and notably, the central tent no longer appears to be completely shut within a forcefield - an 'entrance' has been left open, through which a few skeletons patrol occasionally, whilst two others stand guard.
Flaming arrows are indeed a possibility, given you have lantern oil. Assault team can roll perception (and do other things). Someone roll persuasion in regards to Bob, with +4.

Re: Zilean's Revenge (Part 5)
Horizon notices that one of the undead hounds is 'sniffing' at the floor, some distance away. It seems it's caught the scent of something.
Bob resigns to Rolf's questioning. "Okay, fine, I have one more spell.", he says, pulling out a scroll. "It's a 'Hide from undead' scroll. No good for ambushes though, since it goes away after any hostility is performed, and there's only one. And since I ain't the heroic or fighty sort, figured I'd need it more. Don't tell the Horizon fellow."

Re: Zilean's Revenge (Part 5)
"Well, at least now we know," Rolf said, turning toward the wall. "Anyways, I think I have my own idea to help from the outside. If I can turn invisible (with my own spell, don't worry, Bob) and get some lantern oil up on that wall, then Jeraylia can shoot it with a fire arrow and it'll spread quickly. The main question is whether there's a bucket I can use to carry the lantern oil around (although I might just be able to use my mage hand spell) or should I bring the whole barrel?"

"Well, no bucket, but I've got a few potion bottles. Keep the barrel here, in case we need it for something unexpected?", Bob replies, offering a few empty glass bottles.

"Let's just keep moving for now. We need to err on the side of caution for once, and find out as much as we can before we light this place up." Horizon moves farther along, away from the undead hound, and circles around to the nearest tent.

"Sounds good," Rolf said, taking the bottles and filling them with lantern oil. "This might take more than one trip, but we'll play it by ear. See you in a bit." Rolf then cast one of his invisibility spells and started heading over to the nearest wall of the encampment.

Re: Zilean's Revenge (Part 5)
Circling around, the stealth-party realizes that there isn't any other tent anymore - it seems the camp now consists of only the central tent, and the dismantled remains of the other tents (a bunch of cloth on the floor), as well as some of the destruction at the hands of the party earlier, such as crystalline shards or scorch marks. Curiously (or perhaps, obviously), though, there aren't any clues of the violence from before, such as bodies or blood...
One of the paladins taps Horizon's shoulder, pointing behind - the hound is sniffing where they were earlier, and is trailing after them, moving slightly faster than before. A skeleton follows after it.
Rolf, aided by invisibility, slips near the south entrance fairly easily, taking cover near a wall. He's having difficulty seeing where the stealth-party, though.
Unless you are making a stealth check to approach the central tent from 'around' (there's a lack of cover, unless you can think of something else to help you), assume H/Z/palas are near to the walls. Rolf can roll perception to locate the other party + do whatever he plans on doing.

"New Plan... back me up." Horizon places a finger to his mask, signifying silence, and then motions for the rest to keep going. He draws his kukri, and then lays down on the ground, motionless.

Lying motionless, it doesn't take long for the hound, and the skeleton accompanying it, to find Horizon. The hound barks at his 'corpse', attracting another skeleton over. They 'stare' motionless for a few seconds at him, impossible to discern intent from their lack of living features...

Having reached the southern wall, Rolf started opening up the potion bottles and using Mage Hand to carefully splash them up against the wall. He tried peering through the entrance to see if he could get a glimpse of Horizon's group.

Re: Zilean's Revenge (Part 5)
One of the skeletons takes a spear and presses its tip into one of Horizon's legs, slowly stabbing it as a method of 'probing' the figure before them.
Rolf can see a few skeletons gathering in the back of the camp, their attention focused around a figure lying on the floor, but no other signs of the group that went before him. This does gives him plenty of opportunity to thoroughly douse the wall in the oil, however.
Horizon, take 1d6 damage, and roll an endurance check if you don't want your 'cover' as a corpse exposed. Or other stuff.
