Sky Wolf just continued to wait patiently. Knowing that the Cyrstal Ponies attempting to rush the stage were simply the fodder of the group. That the real was approaching soon... that would be an interesting battle, though the pegasus knew just how to take care of that. So, as his energy flowed to his comrades, Sky Wolf said. “Princess, can you gathered together some of your unicorn guards? I know just how to defeat the real threat which is approaching.” Might of been better to inform them earlier... but he was distracted with the rushing ponies.

Two of the crystal ponies diverted their attention to assaulting Sky Wolf while one rushed to pick up the objects the others dropped. Objects that looked a lot like statuettes...

Something snapped a bit as Diamond Dust saw Sky Wolf endure the blows of the Crystal Ponies, Sit fet like he was back into the cave, watching them pound Silver Night again, while he was helpless in stopping them.

Bu Diamond Dust wasn't helpless. His Job was to protect ponies. Adn that was what he was going to do, Damnit!

Diamond Dust's horn started pulsing as Dust's magic, which he was so awkward with normally, gathered and grew until it all burst out, in wave after wave of power.

"ONE LAST CHANCE! EVERYPONY STAY BACK!"

“Princess, can you gathered together some of your unicorn guards? I know just how to defeat the real threat which is approaching.”

"The real threat?" Terra shouts back at Sky Wolf, "We had best finish this then."

Terra first dashes at the last of the uninjured attackers slashing at him before using the pony as a springboard to leap into the air. From her new airborne position she throws her sword yet further still into the air where it suddenly shatters into a thousand pinpricks of light which speed down onto the stage seeking out the attackers. As the light light fades Terra lands and catches her once again normal knife.

The final crystal ponies fell upon being hit by Terra's attack. A few pegasus guards landed on the stage as the machine crew louder and closer.

"Right away!"

Eclair salutes the guard before flying away as fast as she can towards where the other cooks were setting up. Flying just above where the cooks are, she lets out a loud whistle to get their attention.

"Attention everypony! Please calm down and listen! Zose ponies zat just tried to attack ze princess are bringing a large machine in to attack. We need to evacuate ze area immediately!"

Diamond Dust gulped. Looked like he was going to need the help of the robot sooner that he had thought. "Horsetron, I seek your aid!" he yelled.

"Don't." Sky Wolf said when Diamond Dust began to summon Horsetron, or his part of it, the pegasus moving to put his hoof on Diamond's shoulder, saying. "We could summon Horsetron to defeat the machine. But I think it would make a much stronger message if instead of having to rely on a machine of legends, we instead defeat their machine with nothing more than the royal guards and ignunity." Hopefully that would be enough to stop the call of Horsetron as Sky Wolf didn't want them to reveal their hand too soon... through Diamond Dust yelling that out loud didn't help. The pegasus then turned back to Princess Terra, saying. "Do you rememeber the machine that was destroyed when we first met? They have another one heading in our direction. Its main weapon is a cider-fueled flamethrower... which is also its greatest weakness. If we can force the flame back on itself, the detontation would take out the entire thing."

A triumphant thundering of hooves came from the distance. Meanwhile, Ancient Record waited before he did the same due to hearing Sky Wolf's request. However, the pegasus noticed that while the cider hose was still attached, there was also a new addition to the top of the machine. Some sort of box which then opened and shone an orange light. Unlike the flamethrower, a beam then erupted from it in a fashion similar to a unicorn using attacking magic. The beam came short of the stage but their aim would surely be better once they got closer. The box then closed and the light stopped glowing. The sound of hooves grew louder and soon a mechanical equine towered over Diamond Dust, "Sand of the hardest gem, for what aid do you seek?"

"Bwuh?" Diamond Dust turned wildly between Sky Wolf and Horsetron "But-But-Horsetron-lasers-we-" Dust shook his head quickly trying to gather his thoughts. "We have the Machine of Legend. Wouldn't that be scary enough? And a bit safer for the other ponies? I-I-" Dust looked over the group haplessly, before settling on Princess Terra. "Your Highness? What do you think?"

"The time for that question has already passed. He has already arrived so it may be best to use his aid to minimize the retaliative threat." Terra then pauses briefly before continuing. "Having a hero of legend does send a rather strong message in retrospect, but enough of that. Diamond Dust, Horsetron is awaiting your answer."

“We could compromise.” Sky Wolf said, now that Terra decided it was a bit too late to turn Horestron away not that he had arrived, the pegasus studying the oncoming machine carefully. “You're right in that revealing we have part of Horsetron is an impact, but I think saying ‘We don’t need him to beat you’ would scare them even more. So how about we have him weaken that machine? Specifically, they’ve weaponized a sun gem, and he could handle that, but we’ll be able to handle the rest.” Sky Wolf looked around however, trying to find the unicorns of the royal guard, they would have a much easier time forcing the flamethrower back on itself.

Eclair looks up from where she's helping to get the cooks evacuated as a giant mechanical pony runs up to the stage, she simply hovers in place gaping slightly where she is as she tries to process this.

Heeding Eclair's warning, the cooking staff swiftly departed the area.

In a flash, Diamond Dust was suddenly inside a room filled with levers looking down upon the crowd. As several unicorn guards rushed over, Steel Lance looked up in awe.

"That does seem like a good course of actions Sky Wolf, I will defer to your experience. Also if we have time before the other machine arrives could you take a look at the statues the Defectors dropped... I do not have the best of personal experiences with their kind. ."

Terra stares for a moment at the space formerly occupied by Diamond Dust blinking slightly. The princess then walks over to Steel Lance . "Steel Lance the first attackers have already been dealt with. Now, I need your group, along with any other guards not focusing on the evacuation of the area, to aid against the mechanical betel currently approaching. Primarily you are to counteract the flame-throwing hose and if possible turn it back upon itself secondarily, immobilizing the machine would be a boon to stopping it."

Diamond Dust almosts jumped in surprise as the robot just blinked him inside itself (or at least that was what it looked like. "Wow."

But there was no time for any of that stuff. Luckily, all the controls were clearly labeled, so even he could drive it. First things first, get to the spider bot.

Sky Wolf blinked in surprise when Diamond Dust suddenly vanished in front of their eyes... before shaking his head, muttering. “Why on Equestira did I get myself involved in this?” The pegasus not comfortable around Horsetron and its magic, he was just a wanderer, not a hero. He didn’t even have a cutie mark for crying out loud. As it was, the pegasus soon focused, hearing Terra giving orders to the unicorns he took the opportunity to examine the statues left behind by the fodder.

As Sky Wolf examined the statuettes, he saw some with various markings. However, one was blank. One had Princess Terra's cutie mark engraved into the base. Yet another had a frosting bag engraved into the base.

Sky Wolf glanced over the different markings, and soon found one that had Princess Terra cutie mark on it. No surprises they, grabbing it, her turned to address her... but then noticed a different marking out of the corner of his eye. After a quick double check, he turned to the Princess, saying. “Princess, got a statuette for you, but more importantly the loyal cook here has one herself.” The blank statuette was dismissied in his mind, to busy wondering about the other symbols...

Steel Lance looked up at Eclair, "From here I figure it's best for you to get to safety." Just then the lumbering machine shot out another beam of fiery magic but it was valiantly deflected by the forcefield that Diamond Dust's Horsetron unit activated.

Diamond Dust let out a sigh of relief. He didn't want to think of what would happen if that flame had hit the ponies. But he didn't have time to worry about that now. He needed to work on disabling that thing. Noticing an intercom button, he slammed it with his hoof while moving the robot forwards. "What's wrong? Scared to fight someone who can take a hit? Reaching the field, he saw a button that opened holes in the field, and pressed it just long enough to get through the field. "Just you and me, now!"

“Nice work Diamond.” Sky Wolf said, deciding that the figures could wait until later. For now, it was best to simply focus on the machine that was approaching them. “Remember, your only to destroy the laser for now, and then standby in case we are unable to destroy ourselves.” It was one thing to reveal you had HORSETRON on your side... it was another entirely to show that you don’t need to depend on it.

Diamond Dust's challenge seemed to do the trick as the machine focused on his portion of Horsetron instead of the princesses.
