All I need is a standard assist roll. A +2 would move Dart's roll from 13 to 15 and not failing.

Haven't really thought about how much Dart weighs. He's a baby dragon, who's diet consist mostly of rock, so 100lbs. Maybe?

Height is probably around 4'.

You're going to need another couple hits of Mental Muscles before you'll be able to TK yourself around without major assistance. The reason why I can fly around with ease is because I only weigh 25 lb. and took the maximum amount allowed of Mental Muscles which puts me at a cap of 150 lb. at a time. I calculate my personal weight as 50 lb. for the purpose of self-targeted TK though, takes a bit of extra work to lift the weight that's doing the lifting and all you know.

I'm pretty sure with that assist you'll do more than just barely scrape by, it's up to Elacular just how well though.

EDIT: I think that with a Spectacular Success Assist it'd be more likely that the orb suddenly becomes TOO good throwing Dart off than just pulling it up to a sorry excuse for a successful "cast". I'd just delete that post and wait for Elacular's input myself.

Character sheet for Grey Matter updated.
Use the same links as before to download.
Changes in new version:

Added a rumors section immediatly following the Secret History section which contains things that most anypony could tell you at this point.
Removed a couple sections that will be unused until leveling up.
Modified a couple page break spots for prettier/easier to read hard copies.

I know this is a beginner's area, but it feels like the group isn't getting enough in the way of challenge. Personally, I wouldn't mind if we were tossed a curveball to make things a bit more complicated. Thoughts anyone?

I would like to do that, but Cloud is currently leading the party and she has healthily avoided all my curve ball opportunities. I'll be updating tomorrow and I'll try to switch things up, but Featherbow very deliberately designed this place to be as banal as possible.

My slightly cynical answer is that he needs to find a way to prevent players from joining other campaigns. It's a problem I have as a GM where some of my players are in more than one of my campaigns and they keep joining more yet they don't actively keep up with any of them.

I mainly just was having trouble getting myself around to trying to DM a campaign. I'll still be around here for this campaign. (Though I'm blanking on what Grey should be doing right now...)

It's up to the GM but trying to hide your emotions is often a Deception roll in most systems and in turn it's generally a subset of Persuasion. Streetwise can work for this since it's based on reading clues on how others react. In some ways, an alternate skill system may be useful but that comes with its own problems.

Unless (Again, up to the GM) somebody decides to roll... Perception, probably. And beats a 20.

Pyro conceivably do it. But he doesn't really care, so not gonna bother.

At least in D&D there's a thing called "Passive Perception" which doesn't require a roll by the player. It's generally used by the GM to see whether at least some players in the group notice a trapped floor tile or the like. A PC's Passive Perception is 10 + their Perception skill.

If we were using Passive Perception anyone with a Perception skill of at least 10 would beat the DC of 20 and thus be able to see through her attempt to hide it. I suppose I might have forgotten that Passive skills weren't a thing in this system...

I typically assumes passive perception of +5 at all times, so I generally try to factor that in for what it's worth.

OK, so with Passive being a +5 instead of a +10 it'd take a skill of 15. So to get that you'd have to have Perception as your Expert skill and have a maxed out Sense of 10 or have Perception trained and an Overachiever maxed out sense of 12 to beat a DC of 20.

You misunderstand a bit. I assume general passive perception to be +5. If someone says they're actively passive perceptioning, that's +10. If that makes sense.

Just say something 'Gray lost composure when hearing about killing censors'. Otherwise you're asking your fellow players to work to notice something about your character.
