Heart bites her lip, slides her hoof into her bag, and retrieves her book once again. She flips open to the second to last poem. Blushing furiously, face hidden by her mane, she begins reading it, mumbling, just loud enough for him to hear. Once she finishes, she snaps the book shut, and keeps staring at the ground, quivering slightly.

It was only now that the real meaning of the words sank into him. "Bleeding..." He reaches out a hoof to her, hesitantly at first, waiting for a sign from her that he should stop, but becoming bolder with time until it rests on her shoulder. "That's beautiful."

Heart just looks up, looks Wormwood in the eye, and begins to cry. She buries her head in his chest, and wraps her hooves around him.

Heart keeps sobbing, but she lowers her embrace. "Please," She cries into Worms shoulder. "Please, just... go. Just walk away... and leave me here."

Wormwood's heart sinks, and it's a long moment before he speaks. "...Okay." He lets go of her and walks away sadly, glancing back at her as he does so.

The crescendo of a siren began to wail around the camp. Both princesses froze their pupils dilating to pinpricks.
“EVERYONE TO THE CENTER OF CAMP!” Luna exclaims in the Royal Canterlot voice. Orange fire whipped around Queen Gachile, replacing her apron with battle armor. She places a hand on Celestia shoulder and all three of them teleport to the center of the campsite. The princesses appear wearing full battle regalia.
“Meg we need I line of defense!”
“On it!”
Fifty changelings all in combat armor materialize out of the forest and stand shoulder to shoulder forming a perfect circle around the camp. 72 takes his place beside his queen. The siren begins reaching its peak.

Heart just watches him go, and she just gets even more upset. She throws herself back onto the bed and buries her head in the pillow, nearly screaming through her tears.

Heart snaps her head up at the alarm being raised. She looks back at Wormwood again in fear and confusion, eyes still rivers.

Wormwood stops in his tracks when he hears the siren. He then quickly turns to Bleeding Heart and darts back to her, taking her hoof in his own. "Are you ready for this? Will you be all right?" He recalls an earlier conversation they had. "...I promise I won't leave your side."

Heart nods, letting him help her up. She tries to dry her eyes on her sleeve, but is still silently crying when they make their way downstairs.

The Reini grinned as she entered the breakfast tent. This was a very different experience, wasn't it? A new palette meant having to find new favorite foods, but she hadn't been excited about such a prospect before. Maybe that would be something to look into- she seemed to have picked up a lot of "quirks" this time around.

She had just picked up the first of the pancakes when the siren began, causing her to jump- and drop the pancake on the ground.
"Oh, come on," she mumbled! bending over and eating it off the floor. She chewed experimentally, before swallowing.

"Pancakes. Good. Grab a stack of them, Iron. I'm not letting some dumb siren raid spoil my meal."

"Getting a stack for myself as well..." Cold mutters as he got himself some food to eat on the run for both himself & The Reini, taking off his Logic Mask & Ninja Mask to be able to eat his own stack of Pancakes.

She ran ahead of the Minotaur after she spoke, not giving much response to his statement about the mask.

The Minotaur just hits his plat of pancakes face first from his plate and holds out the second plate to allow The Reini to eat them as they move. Hopefully they'll both finish their food before they're needed to do, something... Or at least finish most of the minor meal.

Coming outside, Heart freezes on the spot when she sees all the changelings assembled. She tugs on Wormwood, half trying to run back inside where its safe.

Heart looks back into the tent, then back at Wormwood, and nods. Her eyes find the ground though, as she tries to ignore the presence of the changelings. She keeps them glued there until they reach the center of the camp and the Princesses, at which point she looks up at Luna, waiting.

The blue unicorn sprayed some crumbs into the air, her mouth stuffed with the food as they arrived in the centre of the tents. She swallowed what she was eating, suddenly gasping for air.

"But I hate noises sirens. Ow. OW. I have sensitive ears. This might be a problem... can someone knock that off?"
