It'll have to be up to post speed next time.

Hey Doc, two things:
-You forgot the 7 HP I gave you.
-You're going to get KO'd again this turn. I so predict it.

Re: The Final Prize [OOC]
I further predict that we took out Watch this turn, and I will have to redirect my attack.
But hey, if he does get knock out again, I can still heal him back up. Yay for multiple team healers!

Re: The Final Prize [OOC]
If Evil Eye dies I want to play as Overseeing Watch next. It'll be like in some JRPGs where a former villain comes back as an ally, but weaker.
If Evil Eye lives, he'll just ask her out.

She's not single.
Also, that blow knocked her out in case anyone else was going to target her.

It seems my question is getting here too late, but given that we just beat overseeing watch into unconsciousness, how exactly is evil eye going to ask her out?

Re: The Final Prize [OOC]
She's not? Aww. That just makes me want to know her story, though!
Then again, it's possible Evil Eye has a certain special somepont waiting for him back home...
Also, I think the plan was probably to ask her out at some point if they met afterwards, for whatever reason.

I knew it!
I do kinda second Dusk in that I would like to see these ponies in the break-room sometime. A little bit more chance to RP... the constant fighting is fun and all, but it would be nice to properly spice it up.
Also. I have just pulled of my best move ever. Of all time. A TRIPLE CRIT-CHAIN.

Re: The Final Prize [OOC]
So I just tallied things up, and I've had 4 crits this battle. If I had the Warriors Frenzy crit, and had been dealing damage with those...
8d10=10+8+8+3+9+1+9+9=57 extra damage over the course of the battle. Plus another d10 crit...
2d10=10+10=Okay what the buck?!
4d10=1+7+1+4=13 damage.
...90 extra damage over the course of the battle. Admittedly, a lot of that would've been unnecessarily sunken into Malaise Youth, but still, holy cow. I know what I'm doing when this battle's over.

Re: The Final Prize [OOC]
The problem with you taking a defensive crit is that you lack "jump in front of the bullet" capacity. The "invincibility" isn't applying to the whole team.

Re: The Final Prize [OOC]
Uh, Zam? How exactly did Storm trigger challenge from Jolly Thunder? Trueno Escudo challenged him in the very last turn, and a person can only have one challenge on them at once. Even if jolly challenged him at the start permanently, its been overwritten now.
And people wonder why I'm mad that the only such ability is the passive.

Re: The Final Prize [OOC]
Antiquity is KO'd.
Oh. That's...problematic. Wholly my fault and all but that completely throws me off (and ruins the name of the attack maneuver). Most immediate fix is simply removing the challenge damage since it didn't crit. Gotta figure out how to reword it though.
I can see valid arguments on both sides. However, having it out in the wild helps better formulate the feedback.
And technically there is a Destiny option but I do see a way to better plan out discussion for the feature and the crit.

Uhh, I hate to potentially get Antiquity up, but did you factor in Evil Eye's Weakness into damage calcs?

Re: The Final Prize [OOC]
Huh, figured he would have done that. Guess that means she's still up.
Also, edited to remove Jolly Thunder's challenge hit. This has the benefit of not triggering Living Lightning's challenge. Well, I guess that's only a benefit for the GM

All edited on my end. The primary change was that Vengeance (and the accompanying Weakness), now targets TE instead of Jolly Thunder.

Re: The Final Prize [OOC]
This was by far the most complex battle that I've done. It's also the one most subject to the whims of the dice. I think this is the one battle type that most suffers from the current initiative structure since whichever side that goes first gets a massive advantage.
Enemy builds
Now you can see the changes. Malaised Youth had two builds and my choice was based on the opposite of what mjh6 chose. In my mind, MY ties for the most flawed changes since I just stuck an AOE onto a build that was very singe target focused. He also got hit hardest by underwhelming low rolls. Antiquity was flawed since she really needed a +2 or higher that wasn't attack when you take into account the feature/trait changes made.
Overseeing Watch was quitely building Adrenaline over time but her main starring moment was netting a d12 crit. This was why she wasn't dropped by the massive damage spike after she KO'd Acoustic--she was literally invincible. Trueno Escudo was interesting in that he put a Vow on Antiquity at the start of the battle but so little damage was aimed at the healer. Considering she used Divine Light on him early on and most of his bladespells were heals, he was cleanly over 200+ hp. I was very surprised that a few people actually responded to Challenges instead of ignoring them. Was an interesting case of prediction and playstyles varying.

Re: The Final Prize [OOC]
Interesting, so it really was a Mirror Match.
I'm not familiar enough with the other player's builds to comment on their counterparts, but I like how that one difference between Evil Eye and Overseeing Watch changed their effects drastically. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad for Berserker's Fury, it contributes a lot to Evil Eye's damage output, but EE wouldn't have taken what Overseeing Watch went through. Why that change, out of curiosity?

Re: The Final Prize [OOC]
My original mental plan was mirrors but slightly different. Actually didn't want it to be 100% exact due to turn order and rolls affecting things. Some of these had my own build style (and play style) leak through. While the template builds I posted a while back aren't like this, I tend to like putting healing or armor on berzerker builds to negate the self damage. Antiquity was another example of build style leaking through since I like the idea of adding Commander powers onto either the healer or tank. The interesting thing about Juggernaut’s Jug is that for all of the system restructuring to remove multiplicative bonuses, it's one of the few that still exists. Invincibility has a wow factor to it unless nothing hits you.
And yeah, the mirrors weren't supposed to be all that subtle.

Regarding the state of the mirror team I'm guessing it is something of an "and I must scream" situation.
