Re: Dragon's Feud
Pumpkin gives a whoop as she swoops back into the air, hovering briefly in place to survey the damage the little breezie had done. And one of the dogs looks down. Fet'cher. She actually feels just a little sorry for him. Using the small respite from the mental attack, she pulls out another thermos from her pack.

Dog 3 doesn't quite know what to do after seeing his leader lying unconscious. He panics, and sprints away toward the bushes, yipping and whining for help.
Dog 3 attempts to escape. Chassis is next in order so she may try to prevent him from escaping via non-combat move, or let him go.

Chassis ignores the fleeing Diamond Dog, and instead calls to Cherry, "Two more to scare off, and then you can nap the rest of the way home in one of the wagons!"
As she speaks, Chassis's hair band glows bright, eye-searing red, and her horn stays lit on its own volition.
Mossburg rounds on Dog 2 with another solid hoof strike.

Re: Dragon's Feud
Cherry chuckles as she prepares her crossbow. "That's one way to look at it." But despite being sleep-deprived, Cherry was a patient pony, and knew when to hold off on attacking until the best possible moment.
Of course, she could also pass the time in fun ways, such as by firing a bolt at Dog 2 with a cable attached, that delivered a strong jolt between the both of them...

Re: Dragon's Feud
Atlas narrows his eyes and bares his teeth, instinctively lowering his head for a charge.
Seeing the dog swat Peony out of the sky filled his form with righteous fury, and with a bellowed "Pick on someone your own size!" he charges at the dog that had let out that annoying squeal, intent on sending him flying with a flurry of head-butts and punches, abandoning all caution and putting faith into Peony's psychic shield.
It's a risky attack, but Atlas is very angry at the recent turn of events, and he needs to let off some steam.

Re: Dragon's Feud
Helmaroc shrieks with alarm as Peony's bottle is struck by the dog, and as it falls, she dives after it, managing to scoop it up into her claws after a solid bounce against the ground.
~Are you alright?!~ Helmaroc asks frantically.
Bleh... My head hurts... Peony's world is spinning after that drop, but still she musters up the ability to project a barrier around her bottle before collapsing on the floor of the bottle to nurse her throbbing headache. To the outside world, the bottle just shimmers for a moment before disappearing completely from sight.
Enraged, Helmaroc turns to the dog who attacked Peony, and launches a bolt of lightning at him, cawing angrily.

Re: Dragon's Feud
Pumpkin covers her ears, banking and covering her ears with her hooves as one of the dogs gives a distressingly loud squeal. She turns just in time to see another dog lash out, spiking the little breezie down into the ground.
Last migration, all of Ponyville's spectators had been warned just how fragile these creatures were. Whisper. Don't fly unless you're part of the team. Definitely don't sneeze. Her worry only intensifies when the breezie suddenly just vanishes. Oh no, oh no, oh no!
Pumpkin Spice's distressed yell is completely drowned out by the sound of a very, very angry roar of a minotaur. The pegasus narrows her eyes, hovering for just a second longer. Then she dives down towards the dog that'd attacked the breezie. As she swoops above him, she drops something down over his head.
Hazelnut coffee, with cinnamon. A hint of chocolate. Freshly brewed this very morning, just an hour ago, and immediately stored in a high quality thermos. Still scalding hot.
Splash!
"C'mon, everypony! We got to finish this!" she yells.

Chassis watches the events playing out before her, her mind buzzing with what feels like an adrenaline high...with an adrenaline high. How much was from the overcharged MADCAT device on her head and how much was excitement from the fight, she pins for study later.
For now, though, she surveys the battlefield. Fet'cher was out, one of his dogs was gone. Dog 2 was still fighting, but Dog 1 had disappeared underground again.
Chassis focuses her attention on the mound of dirt Dog 1 left behind, and waits for him to reemerge.
Sensing her intent, Mossburg assumes a position between that spot and the wagon, taking care to avoid Chassis's line of fire.

Re: Dragon's Feud
Cherry let out a growl as Peony was hit hard, in a tone of growl that ponies really shouldn't have been able to make. "Hey! I may not be as loud as the Breezie, but I can still make you hurt!"
As Cherry aimed her crossbow at the only dog unfortunate enough to be within firing range, a small dial on the side displayed a blue minus sign. She pulled the trigger, and the dial quickly rotated 120 degrees to a red plus sign, and Cherry pulled a second trigger, as another bolt flew and the dial spun again to a neutral equals sign. But these dials did not indicate electrical charge - they indicated temperature. The first bolt's tip shattered like ice, yet far colder, while the second bolt sparked and ignited as it hit.
Cherry grinned, before filling her crossbow with more bolts. Her reload was a bit more rushed than it normally was - sometimes resulting in better payoffs, but other times making her fumble slightly with the bolts in her hooves. This time was no exception - and her crossbow even went off as she pulled the strings taut. Making a nameless noise of distaste, Cherry pressed another button, and another set of jumper cables flew out, one end going to her previous target, the other to Peony's bottle. Cherry had upped the voltage just in case - it wasn't much, though, and hopefully Peony would be all right.
A quiet but sharp warning chirp sounded from her rig, and Cherry slammed a hoof against its side. The generator sped up, an unpleasant grinding noise emerging as sparks flew and renewed power flowed to her equipment.

Re: Dragon's Feud
Dog 2 is yelps and scrambles away from the pain, and looks like he's about ready to quit- when all of a sudden there's a commotion from the trees. Dog 3 rushes back out with a terrified look, returning to stand next to Dog 2. "Now you ponies gonna get it!" He yelps, trembling, as a (rather weak) roar emanates from the woods, and the Dragon from before finally emerges. He circles overhead, surveying the damage. "I thought the dumb dogs would have been able to handle you ponies, but I guess now you have to deal with me!"
Dog 2 gulps, not looking forward to continuing, but now that the Dragon is here running away isn't an option. Instead, he steadies himself and goes after the breezie again- only to find that its gone missing. Confused and dizzy, he opts for the eagle instead, digging up a few rocks and hurling them at Helmaroc.

Re: Dragon's Feud
Atlas narrows his eyes, trying to quell the instinctive jump in his heart rate as new adversaries enter the battlefield.
Well, there's a dragon.
Oh.
There's a dragon. What excitement! What adventure! Even a week ago Atlas would have scoffed at the thought of getting to fight a dragon, but there it is, striking a somewhat intimidating figure as it circles above the battlefield.
He's not about to charge in and tackle a dragon, however. He's brave, but not *that* brave. Instead, he turns to the battered looking dog 2, and lets anger fill him again when he notices it chucking rocks at the eagle.
"Hey! You leave the eagle alone, before I give you a knuckle sandwich!"
WHAM!
...Perhaps next time he should give them a chance to reply, first.

Re: Dragon's Feud
Peony blinks back into existence, screaming incoherently in anger. Another shockwave of psychic energy bursts from the carry bottle, flooring the enemies once again, and sending new strength into her allies.
Helmaroc then swoops in and blasts Dog 3 with a bolt of lightning, taking advantage of the psychic assault to get a little more damage in.

Re: Dragon's Feud
Pumpkin's eyes grow wide. "Oh, apple sauce," she breathes as the dragon appears. She flies forward, ready to join in as the others spring into action. The pegasus banks sharply to avoid one of the dogs as he suddenly goes flying by right into a pit, courtesy of their local berserking minotaur. She rapidly slows to a hover next to him, a broad grin spreading across her face.
"Hey, big guy! Do that again! I'll cover you!" she calls with a broad grin.

Re: Dragon's Feud
Atlas grins at the pegasus' prompt.
"You got it! TAKE THIS---!"
Nothing ventured, nothing gained, right? The dragon looks weakened and vulnerable from Peony's psychic barrage, so now is the time to strike - and so he does, putting his whole weight into a bone-crushing tackle.

Re: Dragon's Feud
So the dragon finally revealed itself in all its glory...and now he's reeling back from the breezie's psychic blast and the minotaur's punch.
Now.
The forcefield opens in front of Chassis, and she releases her MADCAT headband's overcharge on the dragon, bathing him in a cyan beam bright enough to turn white.
As the beam fades, Mossburg closes in on the dragon and delivers his own punch while the latter is still soft, stunned, and reeling.

Re: Dragon's Feud
The dragon holds his hands to his head under the psychic onslaught, though he remains high in the air, drifting to and fro- and causing Atlas to miss his tackle entirely. The same goes for Chassis, her eagerness to seize the opportunity causing her to miscalculate, firing off the MADCAT beam towards the dragon... but over his head entirely.
Mossberg, at the very least, times his hit correctly, delivering a solid blow to Sliver's midsection as he drifts a bit lower. The blow is enough to snap Sliver out of his daze, and he angrily shakes his head to clear his vision.
Dog 3, meanwhile, goes after Atlas, trying to take the minotaur out of the fight.
Atlas and Chassis' attacks miss, Mossberg hits for 2+5+4= 11 damage
Dog 3 hits Atlas for 18+4=22 damage
Dog 3 and Sliver are no longer Weak/Vuln, Sliver is no longer Stunned
Cherry's turn

INTERRUPT!
Peony narrows her eyes at Atlas being pounced, and quickly hurls a psychic assault at Dog 3's direction. She's tapped out after that, but if she can at least take something down before she has to recharge, then so be it.

Re: Dragon's Feud
Cherry stared at the dragon. She stared for quite a bit, uncertain of what to do. She had expected the fight would be ending soon, and was prepared to use the last of her adrenaline. Now she was uncertain. So for once in the fight, she slowed down of her own accord. She took a deep breath and began preparing for another burst of multiple types of energy, resting but also adjusting the settings on her generator, trusting in the energy field generated by Peony to protect her.
Cherry had a plan brewing, meanwhile. She just hoped her battle-rig was up to the task...

Re: Dragon's Feud
Dog 3's ponce knocks Atlas off balance, but Peony's psychic barrier cushions some of the impact, enough so that Atlas can fend off the Dog without suffering a bleeding wound from the attack. Backing away slightly, Atlas eyes his opponents warily, taking a moment to regain his bearings.
