CONGRATULATIONS
Luckily, no belligerent patients interrupt you as the nurse leads Emerald back toward the labs, passing another Quarantine-barricade-in-progress. In the main lab, she does a quick once over of Emerald's back, changing the sheets for clean bandages, and applying disinfectant. She then unwraps Emerald's leg and and straightens it( which proves to be still quite painful). However, she quickly sets it, and retrieves an immobilizing boot cast from the supply room next door, and puts it on. "There, all done. I would give you some painkillers, but we're still out. Just try not to kick anything too hard while you're walking, for now."
Emerald can now walk unassisted, with only a minor penalty to speed and a measly -1 to skill checks that involve walking, running, jumping, etc. However, as with any injury, its best to avoid anything strenuous. better take it easy for a bit...

"So, what was it you were saying earlier about this being some sort of poison, doc?", Jaquir asked.

"Yes, thats what we believe. The antidote Figurehead suggested consisted of a mix of water, sugar, wood from a red oak, and the Blue Moon poison itself. Now it may be possible to use the poison already in a patient's blood stream for these purposes and getting the dosing right may be tricky, but we can't do anything before getting the red oak itself. Would you happen to know of herbalists around here?"
OOC:Streetwise. Storm's got FK(Potions) but I'm not sure if thats enough justification for him to know where a herbalist would be.

Holy Smokes thinks on if he's seen an Herbalist.
Aid roll, using Streetwise: 8 + 5 = 13. Ok... probably not then.

Dodger relates what he knows from his time in Neighagra (whatever that might be) to help Star think.

"I could rhyme off a dozen ideal concert locations, but I spend most of my time on the road." Emerald notes apologetically. She ponders if she might have seen any red oak trees on her recent travels or perhaps read about them in a book, she has a pretty extensive collection of songs and stories, after all. One must make reference to sleeping under a red oak tree or something. 'How did it go again? "From the woods of our forest our tribe went and slept, while the priestess of sun 'neath red oak she wept..." Where was that from?'
Generic Knowledge check to see if Emerald knows where these trees might grow (skip this herbalist business):

The Nurse tries to help, pointing out that there is a pharmacy toward the town center, but they mostly only sell drugs and medicines, not potions or ingredients. She doesn't know of any herbalists.
Emerald: 28
Trials of the Forever Free, a legend (or Old Mare's Tale, depending on who's telling it), speaks of the ancient tribes of ponies who clung to the old ways, before the Alicorns founded the Solar Throne, and who made their home in the untamable Everfree forest- a good few weeks travel south. But Red Oak can't be that rare, and there must be other forests that have it as well.
Star: 32 (+4 Dodger)
You know that there are no herbalists in town where one might buy ingredients, but that there is an abundance of wood, which means an apothecary may not be what you need to find. Those in the lumber business would be your best bet.

Re: The Sun Sets
"We could try looking at a lumber mill," Star suggested. "I mean, with all the types of wood in Equestria, they must have some Red Oak. Or have it shipped in from out of town..."
Re: The Sun Sets
"Thats probably a good idea. I don't think a town of this size has an apothecary. I think there's a lumber yard north of town. Would you be able to accompany me up there?"

"This is turning into quite a tale, once I embellish it a bit. I'd prefer not to be alone for a bit, just in case, so if you'll have me..." Emerald smiles to the group, ready to head out exploring vacant woodlots and other cliche horror story locations.
Re: The Sun Sets
"And I'm in!" Star put one hoof to her head in a salute. "Although, even if I hadn't spontaneously been thrown into this mess, I think I'd still feel morally obligated. Onward, to adventure!"

North to the Lumberyard, then. Those who have been in town know that there are two ways to get there: Either head East out of town, and go north on the main Road, or you can follow the River. Obviously, Flight is a third option for those who can.

Re: The Sun Sets
Emerald looks at her fresh bandages, humming over the thought of the road less travelled. There is always a short way to a lumber mill, and they need to be by a river to work properly, so walking up a creek would be short, but... She looked again at the wrapping. Water probably wouldn't be good for it.
"I think I may have passed a road on my way into town that said something about heading to the lumber mill, then, if we're all going."

Re: The Sun Sets
You all exit the Hospital, and turn north, past the park, and out of town. Most of you notice the the sky seems to be darkening, and a quick look confirms that several Pegasi are moving clouds together, readying for rain. After a few minutes of walking, you turn east at a rocky outcropping, and as if on cue, the first raindrops begin to fall.
By the time you reach the road, the sky has gotten quite dark, and the light rain is swiftly becoming a full blown thunderstorm.
