Slight edit to Call Out after a typo was pointed out in it; while fixing it I decided the sentence structure could be altered slightly to make it more clear.
Call Out (2) – At Will
You let out a loud call. You make it clear if your call is meant as a warning, distress call, etc.

Vicious Hawkeye had a typo where it was doing 3d6 extra damage, same as Hellscream Hawkeye. It has been fixed to 2d6.

- The Cannon item has had the combat talent it grants renamed to "Cannonball!".
- Caltrops has been updated to make it slightly more useful by using loss of life rather than damage.
[-1] Caltrops - Minor Utility
Until the end of your next turn, choose of the following:
a) Any creature that attacks you or a target ally you designate loses 1d6 life.
b) Target enemy loses 1d6 any time it makes an attack.

Soldierʻs Vest and Soldierʻs Armor have been updated slightly so that the Resist they give you stacks (since itʻs such a small amount, and only comes into play while you have temporary HP).
Soldier’s Vest - 500 Gold [Created by Xel Unknown and Ramsus]
Armor
You have Resist 1 while you have temporary HP. If you already have Resist from another source, you may increase that Resist by 1.

Happy New Year! We've made a few changes to a couple of abilities which will be heading to the ability document soon. While we wait, I will quickly go over the changes:
I'll be happy to talk more about the changes in the discussion thread, but in the meantime, check out the updated abilities below:
- The abilities Heart of Courage and Tricks of the Trade has been removed from the system. Heart of Courage was an uninteresting ability in the system, only finding a home among min-maxing builds, while Tricks of the Trade made a character's overall strength too high and could be added to pretty much any character, making players have to choose between taking the ability themselves or being outclassed by those who have. Removing these abilities will help the system out.
- Applejack of All Trades has been reworked a bit. Instead of granting untrained skill checks a +1 bonus, it now cancels the +3 bonus that training gives you and gives you a +1 bonus to all of your skill checks instead. In additional, its cost has been decreased to the low price of zero ability points. What a deal! These changes make Applejack of All Trades more interesting, changing a core element of how a character works, and making it a free ability to take allows players to take it without having to worry about their other abilities.
- Watching Like A Hawk now places a mark onto the target instead of just designating the target as your prey. You can also now remove the mark by holding onto the creature for a minute. If you do this, you gain the magic point you spent on Watching Like A Hawk back (if you spent one). This adds a mini-game element to the ability. Spend a magic point, gain the ability, and if you can get your target before the time runs out, you get the magic point back! The hunter can now catch his prey!
I'll be happy to talk more about the changes in the discussion thread, but in the meantime, check out the updated abilities below:
- Updated Abilities:
- Applejack of All Trades (0) [Concept by LoganAura]
Training no longer grants you a +3 bonus to trained skills. You gain a +1 bonus to all skill checks instead.
Watching Like a Hawk (2) – Magic
You may apply an invisible, undetectable mark to one creature you can see. For the next four hours, you know the direction to your mark (albeit not their distance from you), and all Stealth checks made by a creature carrying your mark to evade you automatically fail. If you are holding onto the marked creature, you may spend one minute removing the mark. If you do, you regain the magic point spent on this power (if any).

Re: Official Errata: Changes and fixes to the game (Subscription Recommended)
Happy 100,000th Post everyone! Congratulations to Bronymous for managing to make this milestone post. It's been a long time coming, hasn't it? On behalf of everyone on the development team, I would like to thank each and every one of you for your continued support of the systems and forums, and hope you all stick around for another hundred thousand posts to come. In the meantime, we've got a new update for Pony Tales with some further changes to some abilities. Here's a quick overview of the changes:
I'll be happy to talk more about these changes in the discussion thread. I have put the updated abilities for quick reference below:
- Applejack of All Trades has received a minor rewording, to give a better understanding of the intended effects of it.
- Companion has received some rewording and reworking to its second paragraph. Companions no longer gain Specialist, and instead start with a base stat of 3 in all attributes and 8 attribute points naturally. Companion also states that it doesn't gain any more attribute points naturally outside of the 8 previously mentioned. Companions can no longer take the abilities Specialist, which would provide 8 attribute points with no downside for 3 ability points, and Applejack of All Trades, which would provide a +1 bonus to all of a Companion's skill checks with no downside and at no cost.
- Elemental Resistance and Elemental Affinity now states that you may take these abilities multiple times. This has been an intended element of the ability but the lack of notice to players (such as myself) being unaware of this, and telling others that they can only be taken once. Now you can take them to your heart's content. Or until you have taken them all.
- Lightning Rod has been completely reworked. Before it gave a +5 bonus to creating storms but a -5 penalty to clearing them. For the new Lightning Rod, you choose a single type of atmospheric condition. The preparation time to create or clear that weather condition decreases to 10 seconds, and once per day you may increase the range of Weather-Crafter to a one mile radius while creating or clearing away that weather condition. This rework should turn Lighting Rod into the best friend of anyone who takes Weather-Crafter with a single weather condition in mind.
- Cunning Disguise has been revamped. It's preparation time has changed from 10 minutes to a flexible amount up to 5 minutes, and instead of providing a bonus equal to half your perception or persuasion score, it now provides a +1 bonus for each minute spent studying your mark. This should make the ability more useable while in a rush and for non-Streetwise-based characters, especially ones who need to be disguised (such as Changelings).
I'll be happy to talk more about these changes in the discussion thread. I have put the updated abilities for quick reference below:
- Updated Abilities:
- Applejack of All Trades (0) [Concept by LoganAura]
You gain a +1 bonus to all skills. However, you no longer receive the normal +3 bonus from being trained in skills.
Companion (3) (Second Paragraph)
Your companion starts with 3 points in each attribute, and has 8 additional attribute points to distribute between them (to a limit of 10 in any attribute). In addition to this, companions receive two ability points to be spent as you see fit. They do not otherwise receive attribute points, abilities, skill training, or expert skills, nor do they receive the benefits of levelling. Any further abilities must be purchased using the companion's ability points, should it receive them (such as through the Evolved Companion ability). Your companion can not take the Specialist or Applejack of All Trades abilities.
Elemental Resistance (1)
When you take this ability, choose one of the following resistances. You may take this ability multiple times, taking a different resistance each time.
Elemental Affinity (1)
When you take this ability, choose one of the following affinities. You may take this ability multiple times, taking a different affinity each time.
Lightning Rod (2)
Prerequisite: Weather-Crafter
When you take this ability, choose a type of atmospheric condition (sun, rain, thunder, .etc). The time it takes to create or clear away this atmospheric condition decreases to 10 seconds, and once per day you can expand the range of Weather-Crafter to a one mile radius while creating or clearing away your chosen atmospheric condition.
Cunning Disguise (2) - At Will
Preparation Time: Up to 5 minutes
Spend up to 5 minutes studying a medium-sized creature. Once you have finished, that creature becomes your ‘mark’. For each minute you spent studying your mark, you may add a +1 bonus to any skill checks you make to impersonate that creature. You may only have one ‘mark’ at a time.
