Adventures in Saint-Trotez - On Set (Episodes 1 - 3)

Mind Games, once again, starts tearing up slightly at that comment about how uncreative she is, but she holds it back. "Don't worry, as long as you don't go running off, we'll get you dispelled as soon as possible," replies Golden Wall...

Storm Blade, as you are still holding Sunstrike, you see him quickly made a dirty look at Moonshot, but then turned his face away once again...

You are all escorted by Golden Wall and the other two ponies to the cheveaudarme station. Aces High and Necrar gives a witness statement over the events that occurred tonight, while Moonshot, after a few attempts, has the invisibility magic dispelled, and Storm Blade and Sparks are shown around the place. Mind Games confessed to both helping Sunstrike forge evidence back in Fillydelphia, as well as the Mental Magic act. A letter sent to Fillydelphia officials will look into the case Sunstrike mentioned, and hopefully the innocent couple will be freed. Golden Wall thanks you all for your help, and allows you all to continue with whatever you were doing before this happened. Aces High and Necrar goes back to looking for something to do and somewhere to stay respectively, while Moonshot finishes showing off the city to the two guards from Equestia, as the Moon watches from above the city...

A few days later, Storm Blade and Sparks are at a small camp north east of the city, set up earlier that night by both themselves and a couple of other guards. The open green plains faintly glow in the moonlight, while torches in the camp light the area around you. You are not too far from Saint-Trotez, and you can see further north a large, dark forest, with a mountain range far in the distance. Golden Wall, still wearing his golden armour (although it has been polished recently) has been setting up some spars between the guards around the camp, which is watched by the others. The last match you saw was two young pegasus guards against a single older earth pony guard. The pegasus ponies were trying some hit-and-run tactics to wear down their opponent, but the earth pony managed to get a lot of good hits in, and the pegasus pair gave up first. The three guards shook hooves and left the arena, which is a stone circle...

"Okay, good show." calls out the Captain from the side of the arena. "Spring, make sure you don't fly straight into the enemy, or you'll end up taking hits."

"Yes sir!"

"Okay then, next, let's have... Stanza and Blank Page on one side." As Golden Wall makes this decision, you see a purple pegasus flutter over to a black unicorn, who is currently engrossed in a book, and tap the unicorn to get their attention. They share a very short conversation before heading into the arena. Golden Wall looks around the camp, calling out "Aaaand... you know what? Storm Blade, Sparks, you're up. Let's see how they do things in Equestia."

Meanwhile, in the Tourist District, where Moonshot and Aces High currently are, the pleasant atmosphere created by the fragrance of freshly baked bread and the glow of the street light is interrupted by two earth ponies rushing through the street, shoving any pony in their way to the side, while an out-of-breath unicorn tries to chase after them. "Stop!" he cries out, trying to catch his breath. "Thieves!"

"This is going to be fun..." Sparks grabs his sword and joins Storm Blade in the stone circle.

The purple pegasus, who has a trumpet for a Cutie Mark, is pretty hyper, his hooves tapping out a beat while he waits for the fight to start, a large grin on his face in anticipation. If you were to make a guess on how he fought, you would guess that he'll hit often and hit hard. The black unicorn, who has a blank piece of paper for a Cutie Mark, seems to be trying to figure out how you and Sparks will fight. He looks like the kind of pony who'd stay back in a fight and weaken his enemies from a distance. He also has an impressive blue moustache, which is well trimmed...

"Is everyone ready?" calls out Golden Wall from the side of the arena...

"Yea'," responds the pegasus. "Let's get swingin'!"

"Very well. Begin!"

(Initiation Order: Sparks, Stanza (Purple Pegasus), Blank Page (Black Unicorn), Storm Blade)

"Halt!" calls out Moonshot, breaking into a gallop after the two earth ponies and firing a single magical bolt with point perfect precision. It rings off the cobblestones just in front of the two running ponies, leaving no question that the second and third shots would not be so harmless.

The distance is short enough for me to quickly cross. Have to draw one no two breaths early to avoid dealing damage to major organs shouldn't attack the wings either. Pity I like the Purple one's attitude...

In a flash Sparks is along side Stanza and in a practiced motion he quickly draws his sword cutting into the Pegasus’s side.

Stanza, surprised at your speed, tries to fly upwards out of the way, but you still manage to slash his back leg. As Stanza yelps in pain, the surrounding guards express their amazement at your act. Blood starts to pour from the wound. The pegasus tries to keep his smile up despite the sting. "Ya got fast hooves there," he tells you, as he flies upward, "But I still got some dance left in me!" He swoops down towards you, kicking you with his slashed leg and using you as a springboard to hit Storm Blade as well. It doesn't hurt too much due to his injury. As Stanza hovers back to his side of the arena, the pegasus calls out to his partner "Hey Page, could you help me out 'ere?" However, somewhere in the commotion, Blank Page has vanished. The guards around aren't too surprised at this, but Stanza is slightly frustrated when he realises. "C'mon, I need you back on the dance floor here!"

You manage to keep up to the thieves. When they see your shot, they both look back at you. The brown coloured one is holding a large bag of bits in his mouth while he runs, but it's the other one that catches your eye. He's light blue, with a white mane and piecing yellow eyes. You don't know his name, but you know that the guards like to call him "The Breaker". He has a small hobby where he tries to cripple chevaudarme officers for fun. Usually the injuries aren't too severe, but you've had more than one friend who has had to leave the force, and in most cases leave Saint-Trotez altogether, due to injuries that he has caused. They both turn towards and enter an alleyway on the side of the street you are all running on...

"The next one isn't going to miss!" calls Moonshot, firing another bolt before they can round the corner, aimed at hitting 'The Breaker' in the leg to trip him up. He was the bigger fish, and he needed to be fried.

Sparks catches the kick on the guard of his sword. He then makes a simple rising slash jumping up to and beyond Stanza.

Meanwhile, at the other end of that section of the Tourist District, Aces High smiled. "Long nigh'," he mumbled to himself, lifting his freshly-bought loaf of bread up to his mouth and smiling broadly. "Bu' fresh bread makes everything worth i'."

Just before he took a bite, the two criminals sped onto the scene, pursued by bolts of magic energy.

Aces sighed as the crowd mumbled, gasped, and partly panicked around him before cracking his neck and moving slowly - but with plenty of time- to intercept the two approaching thieves - at least, he assumed they were.

He stuck one hoof out in front of the one with the bag of bits.

Stanza once again tries to dodge your strike, but once again you manage to connect, although you don't really inflict any wounds. Stanza goes to the offence, doing the same attack as he did last time, this time leading with his forehoof. It actually hurts a bit this time, but as he uses Sparks as a spring board again, you manage to get a stab on him, causing more injuries. As he hits Storm Blade, he flies upwards into the air, spinning rapidly. All of a sudden, he crashes down, forehoof ready again, and smacks Storm Blade's face pretty hard...

When he is done, he swoops away, just in time to dodge a blast of magic energy directed at you two, pushing you both back. It doesn't hurt much, but it caught you both off guard. When you regain your footing, you see Blank Page has reappeared, and currently applying a bandage onto his pegasus partner...

The force of the blast knocks the two ponies out of the arena and straight into one of the tents around, causing it to collapse. The other guard ponies start stomping their hooves in excitement, apart from one earth pony who had to dive out of the way of the sparring pair. Soon, the two of them emerge from the wreckage. Blank Page is badly injured, and his moustache is in quite a state, while Stanza is barely able to stay on his hooves. The pegasus manages to mutter out "Heh... guess I got... two left hooves today..." before falling to the ground unconscious...

Blank Page looks at his partner, and then turns to face Golden Wall. "I think we're done here sir. These fine gentlecolts are a bit too much for us." He tips an imaginary hat to you both, and then tries to drag Stanza towards the field medics. He struggles at first, but another guard assists him...

"Nice work you two," Golden Wall tells you both. "It's good to have you both with us." The other guards once again stomp their hooves to congratulate Storm Blade and Sparks on their victory...

After the battle ends Sparks sheaths his sword rather disappointed at it's briefness. He then walks up to Golden Wall. “So Captain Wall do you have any helpful analysis on that battle?”

"Funny seeing you again, M'sieur." comments Moonshot, continuing to hurry around the corner.

The unicorn on the ground looks at you while making deep breaths very quickly. He tries to say something, but all he can manage is shaking his head...

As you run around the corner, the brown pony rushes out of the alleyway and straight into you, knocking you down as he positions himself behind you. It doesn't hurt, so you can easily get back up. In the alleyway, you can see The Breaker in a battle stance, his yellow eyes glowing, and a small, angry grin on his face...

Moonshot tumbles with the impact and rolls right back onto his legs with little trouble, repositioning right back. "A fine evening to both you M'sieurs. I assume M'sieurs will be resisting arrest?" he asks, standing at the ready.

Aces finished off his bread, looking up at the brown pony behind Moonshot. "Here we go again," he mumbled, reaching down to his metal hoof.
