Adventures in Saint-Trotez - On Set (Episodes 1 - 3)

"Ah, combining host material for a tougher enemy." Necrar says, his shadow splitting and standing again. "These things are much smarter than I thought. Shame we have to destroy it. Again." The shadow shrieks and bites the giant timberwolf's front right paw, leaving the wood rotting.

Spoiler:

The rotten claw breaks when the timberwolf makes an attack with the paw, but a second attack knocks the shadow away as the front right paw rebuilds itself...

(The Shadow takes 3 damage)

Splash Control continues to keep morale up as best as he can...

(Everyone except the shadow may flip a coin etc. etc.)

Sparks simply stares the timberwolf in the eyes waiting for a chance to land a strong blow.

Necrar's shadow begins to swirl, and from the swirl pops a small orb of darkness, just floating in the air."Strike." A bolt of dark lightning streaks from the orb, hitting the timberwolf. "Now go, Sharpe!" With a shriek like before, though somewhat happier, the shadow bites down on one of the paws of the timberwolf.

Aces exhales, dropping his metal arm to the ground with a thunk. "Alirgh'...good job, everypony." He swallowed once, examining his arm.

He felt fine, but it looked to be just about out of juice.

(If you want, you can roll a d20, and if it is 10 or lower, it's tails, and if it is 11 or higher, it's heads. That's what I do because I can call a good chunk of my coin flips irl...)

The timberwolf's large form ignores the attack of the Dark Spark, and attacks the party despite of its rot, which it once again cures...

(Aces High takes 1 damage)
(Sparks takes 2 damage)
(Giant Timberwolf is cured of the damage penalty)

Not really knowing how to fight the beast, Splash Control continues to try to raise morale...

(Flip a coin yadda yadda...)

Sparks jumps up to make a deep cut along the timberwolf's spine.

The Giant Timberwolf lets out a deep yelp of pain...

Necrar's shadow does the split-n-stand again, and the new shadow pony bites down on the timberwolf, followed by another bolt of dark lightning from the orb. Sharpe grows to the size of the giant timberwolf and places itself between it and the others.

The timberwolf quickly shakes away the newest shadow as it prepares for an attack...

(The Giant Timberwolf uses an Interrupt that cancels an talent that causes a save-ends condition)

(I guess so, unless you want to delay your turn so Splash Control can do his pip-thing, or maybe go get himself some pips so he can use heal stuff...)

(Just waiting on Ace now. Just a personal note, the Giant Timberwolf's next turn might be crazy. I don't know how crazy it will be though...)

Aces scrambled backwards away from the attack and hid behind a nearby tree, desperately banging on his arm.

The fake one, of course.

The Timberwolf begins to wildly thrash around, knocking a couple of you back a bit and giving a few of you splinters...

(Sharpe (so glad you spotted the mistake as well), Necrar, and the Other Shadow takes 3 Damage)

The giant beast is knocked back, but still standing...

Splash Control is just trying to do anything he can to help at this point...

Another shadow appears beside Necrar, and Sharpe shrinks back down to normal size. With a bolt of lightning following them, the three shadows bite down on the timberwolf's leg.

Aces banged on his arm a bit more, ducking under the destruction of the tree just above his head. "Come on, come on..." he grunted, hoping the timberwolf paw would not come his way again. "Show me the money..."

The displays on his arm showed a slight increase in battery life, and the excess panels lit up. "There we go..." he breathed.

Sparks taps his sword against one of the timberwolf's paws as if checking the sharpness.

The Timberwolf continues to resist the smaller blows towards it. It lets out a loud and powerful bark which causes everypony to lose their footing (hoofing?) for a while, leaving them vulnerable to attacks. It then follows with with an attack on Necrar and Sparks, although Sparks manages to get a quick cut at the beast as it passes...

(Everyone is Dazed (Save Ends))
(Necrar and Sparks takes 4 damage, and a further 2 from Daze)
(The Giant Timberwolf no longer suffers the damage penalty (because I keep wasting good d20 rolls on this, including a 20 right now))

(Storm Blade's Turn)

The Timberwolf roars in pain. Splash Control tries his best to get up quickly, but it doesn't work...

(No coin flip this turn, as it requires a Free Action to actually make the flip, so only Storm would benefit. Instead, Splash is just gonna build himself some pips...)

Aces shook his head heavily, attempting to dislodge the wooziness from his brain. On the third or so try, he gritted his teeth and gave himself a thump on the temple with his non-metallic hoof at the very end.

That did it. Aces took a moment to wince, then looked down at his still non-functioning (at least when it came to weapons) arm. "Come on already!" he shouted, turning and slamming his metal arm the broad way across another nearby tree.

Near the top of the tree, one of the biggest branches broke off and fell on timberwolf's head.

Aces looked at the ensuing destruction, then down at his arm, which had now lit up completely and was letting off an electronic hum. He smiled and shouted to Sparks: "Told ya I'd do i'!"

"Yea Yea but it's already half done." Sparks then makes another slash at the timberwolf's foot and then takes a moment to get his breathing under control.

As you slash the timberwolf's paw, it loses its balance, and begins to fall to one side, not unlike a tree. It finally topples over and crashes into the water, its many logs and branches scattering everywhere, most of which land in the water and begin to float downstream...
