Do those of us on raptors (Tethe, Skaimos, Tordek) get to use the raptor minor action?

Not at this time, you need to train with them or else risk their wrath and end up with them bucking you off like they did their last riders.

You guys should start thinking about what you want for a Boon. You can look at the old stuff or the new stuff or come up with original ideas. You can even look at higher level boons and I could come up with lower level versions or such.

Edit: I'd also like if you guys would take another look over the Tier system's combat stuff to see if there's stuff you'd like for your characters that we don't have.

while we're traveling I'll have Maihime move the enchantment from Thornhill's sword to Tethe's Naginata if no one minds. Also since we need to train the raptors to actually use them in battle, can I have her do that too? What would I roll for that?

You will need to roll Streetwise to figure out what commands they've been trained in. And everyone will need to roll Athletics or Acrobatics to see how far along they've gotten in learning how to ride.

19+10=29 Streetwise

11+10=21 Acrobatics for Maihime
10+16=26 Athletics for Tethe.

13(1d20) + 6(Acrobatics) = 19

Well, in terms of the old boons, A Friend in High Places fits best with getting Mykaila safely back to her father. For the new boons, Team Awesome provides a nice bit of insurance. That's all of my opinion on the matter, really.

Discussed Boons with the others Lynt. At DB's encouragement we're kinda doing a thing like Tier where everyone just picks their own stuff and it combines as works out well for people. Right now we have Tethe voting for "a bar? dunno.", Maihime voting for a place where she can keep her stuff that moves around with her/a way not to pay for inns, Caden voting for a magical workshop, and Xel seconding Maihime's vote. The idea I'm working with for this to combine into is a summonable house. I just want to check if you want to keep your vote on A Friend In High Places (as I'm not really too keen on Boons that are simply mechanics as you guys will get enough Utilities) or if you want to change it to something else (like making the house more impressive or something entirely different).

Summonable House would be good. I'd still like to use "my" boon on Friends in High Places (I don't have anything really to add to the house, and this boon may be an opening for more quests rather than "here's your reward, goodbye".)

Also, looking over the combat talents in Tier, and...it's a little confusing. Refresh isn't very well defined (would Refresh (5) mean we have to wait 5 rounds to use it)? Also, the Keywords are a bit confusing (so, I have to have a Lightsaber to use all Melee attacks?), and I don't know how all the damage types work. Also, do Encounter powers recharge after every battle (because using them at the start could drastically turn things in our favor). That's my first impressions at least.

Ok then, it's not really going to have an effect on quests you'll have available but, I can probably figure out some stuff for it to do from time to time. Though, most likely you won't notice the difference most of the time.

Well, there's a note on how Refreshs work right under the Combat heading. If you still have questions about how they work after reading that, it'd probably be easiest for us to discuss that on Skype.

You can use melee attacks if you have a Melee weapon or ranged attack with Ranged weapons, you can find those under the Weapons header. I would figure Skaimos would actually have a Ranged weapon (though which one doesn't matter as it's just a mechanic and your flavor can stay the same as always, I believe Caden is having Toku take the Blaster Pistol) or a Pole (since iirc he uses a staff), though I would imagine he might take a few of the more jedi themed powers that aren't specifically Melee or Ranged.

Part of the keywords thing is tied into the Class system for Tier but, for now I'm just going to consider you guys as having access to all the keywords, so that you can simply take whichever powers you want.

The damage types don't really work in any particular way aside from how they interact with hardening/resistance/vulnerability and other powers. The main thing to note is that in Tier, ongoing damage of the same type doesn't stack but, replaces, however ongoing damage of different types do stack. So you could have Ongoing 2 damage (save ends), Ongoing 1 Poison damage (save ends), and Ongoing 3 Fire damage (save ends) all at once but, if you gained Ongoing 2 Poison damage (save ends), it would simply replace the lower ongoing poison damage.

Yes, that's exactly how Encounter Powers function.

Slight oversight on my part Lynt, you using a Pole means you can't use Explosive Round (since it's a Ranged attack) unless you have a secondary weapon. Default for switching weapons is a minor action. On the plus side, you don't actually seem to have any minor actions so.... yeah. Not a huge deal I suppose. Also, you had Aimed Shot down as a Ranged attack (it could be either Melee or Ranged) but, if you are taking a secondary weapon, that's fine. Just means you'd have to switch to the ranged weapon to do Aimed Shot or Explosive Round.

If you don't want to risk Dazed screwing you up a bit (though, it really only screws up your options for At-Will Powers so, not a huge deal), you would switch Aimed Shot to Melee and take something else instead of Explosive Round.
