All characters affect gameplay. It's just a matter of how much.

The GM must regret to inform you that all player characters now have 50 HP.

On one hand, some things already have. Fatal HP will be used in all my campaigns, HP buff was already in effect but you weren't in battle so I forgot to bring it up. In other ways, not at all. Not swapping in this campaign due to level unless you guys really want to try the new combat system. Technically this is the campaign that's supposed to test things. Not changing the non-combat both due to the massive nerf it would hit you with and because this is the one campaign that actually uses Boons. I am starting to strongly consider the altered initiative rules since it would really help pbp flow.

The answer to this question will vary per campaign.

My pony's special talent is secrets, so would she have a natural resistance to telling the truth effects and/or a bonus to discovering the truth?

My pony's design is symbolic of her talent. She has a dark blue coat with an obscure black cutie mark, anyone looking at a distance or making a quick glance of it might mistake it for something else. Even her cutie mark is cryptic...

We'll work on how much is backstory and how much is a power effect as the build is finalized.

No. Hector saw a mare during the snafu who (literally) lost her head. It reminded me of the Mad Hatter for some reason; I decided it probably wasn't a stretch for Hector to think so too. So that's how we have been mentally referring to her.

You should probably describe that in character.

I was kind of flattered when you said you normally didn't like backstories like mine but found mine most workable. Like I made a normally terrible idea and made it moderately interesting...

She has another big secret to her character if you like to hear about it in PM...

I had this character for a while and I made her rather complex pulling inspiration from a few different sources...

You've heard the rumors and now it's time to see if they hold true. Escorted into the museum and then guided to a secluded elevator, you are brought to a quiet office. An older earth pony stallion with pale green coat and a greying mane that was probably some shade of yellow in his younger years sits before you. His shirt is heavily starched and pressed as if he had never seen a day of field work in his life. He has a droll, almost apathetic look on his face as he addresses the candidate before him. The question of the moment is, "What do you feel you have to offer the team?"

So can we interact with Sobana's character now or until you give the go ahead?

A bright eyed mare enters the room and climbs into the chair in front of desk. She scoots it forward making a high pitched squeaking sound as it moves along the floor. She places her hooves on the desk and in a proud fashion declares "I-" then pauses as a look of confusion comes cross her face "Wait, what? Is this what this is about? I thought you contacted me because you were interested in buying some of my wares. I didn't realized you wanted to hire me as part of the job. To be honest I was getting kinda bored with the whole freelance scene. Knowing you guys the way I do, I know your not the kind to take street applications. So there must of been something I did that impressed you guys..." She pauses to ponder over the thought. "Ah, I know! You must of heard the rumors that I was the one who snagged the Blade of Ahrah. Let me be the first to tell you those rumors are true. You have any idea how tricky it is to catch a flying sword? I mean c'mon!" Her posture changes to a more laid back attitude. "For a modest finders fee I'll be happy to donate it to the museum. I mean real modest fee. Because that thing never shuts up." She rolls her eyes at the mere thought of it. "I mean who puts a nimbat as a guardian of a legendary weapon anyway? Decisions like that is what caused the collapse of the Moonblood civilization. Who does that?" She says as her eyes trail off into empty space.

She abruptly changes the topic "Anyway, you seem more of a 'by the numbers' kind of guy. So I imagine you want some kind of resume. I think I might just have what your looking for..." She reaches into her saddlebag and pulls out a mysterious grimoire. The pages of this ancient book are written in a language you don't recognize. This massive spellbook reveals very little of its origins. The tome appears to be written in an ornate, sprawling script that seems to rise off the pages. It vaguely resembles demonic, but the symbols are far more elaborate than any you've ever seen. Its pages are filled with a variety of spells and enchantments, only a few of which are familiar. "I know it says catalog. But really it should serve as the same purpose seeing how I managed to single hoofedly collect all these ancient artifacts by myself that your supposed "special" forces couldn't manage to do on their own. I mean that is why you want me, right? To get the things others can't? Oh, If you look in the back of the book I'm also having a special sale on the Puzzle Box of Zumuel. I could never figure out how to open that thing... Only 20 bits!" She starts to eagerly taps her hooves together as a wide smile comes across her face and simply says "So, when do I start?"

The stallion very calmly placed his hoof on the grimoire, "The term 'special forces' is a bit incorrect.  We're a museum that tends to take extra measures procure items before they fall into the wrong hooves.  Donation of goods is handled by another department but I'll let them know.  For the moment, you are dismissed."

I think the proper term is arrogant. Cocky people tend to be aware that they're acting cocky. Arrogance is a more subtle trait.
In any case, this team could definitely use another arrogant but pleasant creature. We'll see if Grease ever tries to bite your head off.
