Non Sequitur: The Campaign

The sound of claws scraping on floor can be heard down the hallway as a teenage dragon approaches, escorted by members of what was formerly Luna's guard. It looks like she's being forced to head over here by the way she walks. It's very clear she has no desire to be here. She is walking on two legs, and oddly wearing a yellow scarf and thick-rimmed glasses which seem to lack lenses. She shuffles her way over to the group and stands there with her arms crossed until one of the guards nudges her. "Alright, alright! Jeez, lay off me. Ugh! I'm Ebony. Sunbutt is forcing me to leave with you guys because she thinks I spend too much time "sulking" in my room. So, can we like, move this along already? This is completely lame."

"Oh neato, a dragonoid to join our crew. You ever eat meat or you just of the rocks and gems type of dracoling?" Maddie asked of the newcomer. "And sunbutt... Mmmm... Nice nickname to give the White Queen herself."

Not having stopped to see if another newcomer was joining, Ghoul calls back from outside the gate, "Train t' likely demise 's still goin'! Keep up or I'm not gonna try t' help ya when we invariably run into somethin'!"

"Right, right, time for walk an' talkin'...." Maddie states as she moves to follow.

"Whatever," Ebony says as she begins following Ghoul. "This place blows anyway. So long Sunbutt."

Ebony holds up one of her claws in a strange gesture towards the castle as she walks away. It seems to be some kind of insult.

"I do adore your attitude... You will be such a hoot of sillyness and emo. We had monsters in the Jungles of Improbability like that." Maddie comments to the newcomer giggling as she thinks back on the good times. Part of her clearly unaware of what she had said could have come across to the dragon.

Ebony continues to walk, largely ignoring the clownish pony.

Maddie's smile turns into a frown having her make a cryptic remark. "It's unwise to snub a Joker-pony that likes you. For they might start to dislike you, and try to play some joker-games without your consent."

"Well then... Do you care of nothing? Should or Runeheart, take your life?" Maddie asked with wonder and distaste.

"Oh I don't work for anypony but myself, Sunbutt as you call her is just the pony that's given me something interesting to do, and she might be able to help me with my goals if the team ends up finding out some answers or something." Maddie retorts. "And that is a good thing to hear you'd fight back if I were to try to make the death of Ebony... Don't like killing anything that can't fight back. Hate all the times Discord had tricked me into doing such deeds..."

I watched the two with interest. Maddie and and this Ebony character seemed to be of clashing personality types; this could spell trouble if they were both as dangerous as they claimed. Of which I had no doubt.

Of course, I can be pretty dangerous too when I wanted to be.

I decided to venture a query. "I take it you knew 'Moonbutt' a little more personally, then?"

Runeheart suddenly stopped and looked at the dragon with hugely wide eyes, standing frozen.

Ebony doesn't seem to notice, or care.

Runeheart finally gasped for air, a huge smile painted across his face as he suddenly pounced at the dragon, wrapping his hooves around her and screeching: "TEDDY BEEEAAAR!" sounding both like a foal that just got exactly what it wanted for Hearthswarming eve, and someone who either didn't know or didn't care what a teddy bear looks like.

Now was my chance to leave a goo impression. I took it.

"This colt that cuddles
Is a bit befuddled
It's happened to many a stallion;
Common sense is flaggin',
You're holding a dragon!
Stick to the mares, you drunk rapscallion!"

Maaaagecraaaaft:

Ebony struggles to push Runeheart off of her. "Augh! Get off me you creep!"

Athletics:

Maddie just facehooves. "Runeheart, bad boy... Stop that..." She said without really trying to do much of anything else, hell even her tone of voice hints at her not really wanting to have this stop.

Though Ebony alone fails at getting the cuddly pony off, the magical assistance from Zacharias seems to do the trick, sending Runeheart softly to the ground a few yards away.

Ebony pulls herself up and flips her strange claw gesture at Runeheart. "Stay the heck off of me, you dumb nutcase."

From around a corner you all hear, "Swiggity, swiggity, I'm coming for that booty."

Runeheart falls off, quickly tumbling back onto his hooves, "Mares? Drinks of an unspecified kind which I hope are sugary apple juice? What the hey are you talking about Zachy boy?" Runeheart asks, looking honestly confused, and not just by the strange singing of some sort. "Also, pony! Wheee!" he says, zipping towards the sound.
