Soft eeps in surprise, flinching away from the sound. Water eyes it cautiously. "Uh... ok, so yeah, definitely don't wanna open that door."

Lavender cocked her head, confused. Apparently Discord had lost a bunch of stuff like this? Teddy, as inconspiculously as possible, leaned forwards and whispered Has someone been stealing your things, Lord Discord?"

Discord doesn't seem to notice Teddy. He does notice Mint Jewel, however. She doesn't seem that odd. Who is she?

Wandering Eye looks at the brass door suspiciously. "I don't know... somepony might have just gotten hurt." He walks over to it, raises a hoof, and knocks on the door.

((Since I have yet to get a definitive opinion OOC, I'm going to guess, based on prior actions, that you'll take the hook. Sorry I took so long deciding that.))

When nobody answers the knock, Romance steps over, gently nudging Wandering Eye over as he pulls out a squiggly piece of metal, which he sticks in the lock and starts twisting around. After several minutes, the door opens... And a limp pony falls out!

"Well," Wandering Eye said, "I'm sorry to see I was right." He immediately moves over to check the pony's vitals.

Discord takes a moment to wipe away the previous writing before continuing. How should I know? It's not like I plan these things. You said you were in Fillydelphia? What did they think of the key lime pudding?

The pony in question is a blue earth pony mare, with a pair of saddlebags strapped to her sides. You're reasonably confident that she's dead.

"You know that awful feeling you get when you've eaten too much, and you can't imagine moving, or communicating, and just want to keel over and decompose until you die?" Bubbling Spring says irritably. Conversations with Discord had a horrible habit of going nowhere. "That's what the whole town feels like, and they haven't even touched the pudding yet."

Sorry, I meant to respond to that before, but I got extremely distracted.

The twins inch closer to the door as it's being picked- and scream in unison when the mare's corpse falls out. "Oh my gosh is she dead?!" "Oh no, no no nononononono..." "IS SHE BUCKING DEAD?!?!"

Wandering Eye gulps. "Yes." He then glances inside the room that the door leads to, just to make sure there's no threat within.

Mint Jewel raises an eyebrow. "What are you talking about?"

Discord, meanwhile, continues writing. You should see the other guys. But besides saving the poor town from the same sort of ponies as you dealt with, the mess opened up about 85 new jobs to clean it up. I saved lives, and nipped an economic problem they had on the bud before it spiraled out of control. Clever, no?

Nothing jumps out of the hallway immediately. ((Roll Perception, if you feel like it.))

Romance seems unperturbed. "...Shame. She looks like she was a pretty thing. How shall we proceed..."

Bubbling Spring blinks, surprised. "This wasn't precisely intentional, but if you get mad at him he explains himself." He whispers to Mint Jewel. He lifts Lavender and Teddy onto his back once more, wincing a little, and moves the mirror out in front of them so that everyone can still see it. "We may as well keep heading for the well." He comments to Mint Jewel. "Maybe the others will have better questions for him."

Lavender bit her lip briefly. "Can I keep the mirror?"

"Sure." Bubbling Spring floats the mirror back up to Lavender.

Wandering glances back at Romance, a little concerned by his lack of concern, before turning back forward and taking a few steps inside the room and looking around...

"Yeah, good idea. That thing creeps me out," she said as she began walking again.

Discord's silent expression shifts from confusion, to annoyance, and back to his initial cheer at getting passed off to Lavender. He started writing again. Well that was a bit rude. No matter, maybe I can get some more stimulating conversation now.

The hallway as a whole is quite dusty, but the dust has been disturbed by the fracas that lead to the poor mare's demise. The hallway leads down to a concrete stairway, inky blackness shrouding the bottom as you stare into the darkness. You can just make out galloping hooves for a brief moment, but they quickly fade into silence.

Taffy Stretch comes down the stairway, saddlebags in tow. "I'm ready to go now if - AAAGH!" she shouts in surprise at the scene unfolding before. She immediately rushes to the mare's side. "Twinkle! No, she can't-"

Again, was gonna respond to stuff, didn't get to.

The Twins, rather than investigate, are already running for the door when Taffy enters. Upon seeing her, they both stop short, and run in opposite directions to get away form her. "We don't wanna die!" "Help!"

(Need I remind you that Wandering Eye has Nightwatch?)

Wandering Eye hastened down the stairs into the darkness, trying to catch a glimpse of whoever was responsible...

"It's not too unsettling once you get used to him." Bubbling Spring replies, casually adding "It's what he does that gets to you."

"Yay!" Lavender said, grabbing the mirror eagerly.

OOC:

Bubbling Spring looks around, taking in the architecture a little. It's much easier to deal with than the last large city he was in, but it's still not to his taste. "So what's this town like when it's not covered in pudding?"

After about an hour of walking and small talk, the group arrives at a secluded park, dominated by a small, deep well in the center.

"Well, here we are," Mint Jewel announces. "Now what?"

As you descend down the stairs, the running hooves grow fainter, long since out of sight as they blend into the echoing silence. of a long concrete hallway, leading off to your left. There is, however, a clear path of upset dust where somepony apparently dashed off.

Steam Twins

((Did I read that right? Opposite directions? The Universe demands that I rectify this!))

Oblivious to anything in their path, the twins manage to run smack into the walls: Glowing Drop into a grandfather clock, and Water Drop into a painting on the way. Neither one seems to impede them; they both hear a sort of woosh sound, followed by a long, dark tumble into an equally dark room at the bottom of nowhere, where they slide to a stop within hoof's reach of each other - if they have wherewithal to realize it...

Both Twins continue to scream as they hit each object, and tumble down the tunnels, and both stop screaming when they hit the ground, seemingly alone in the dark. Soft begins to panic, "Ohmigosh, no no no, WAAAATER!" "Gah, what?" "AHHHoh, you're right there." "Yeah, and where are you?" Water fumbles about in the dark before Soft's horn glows, giving them some light to see each other. "What is up with this place? Murders and secret tunnels?!" "We never should have come here, now we're trapped!" "We're not trapped, we just have to find a way out." "Ok, and that would be... where?" "Uh..." They both look around trying to see where they came from, and where an exit might be.
