Wanderlust: Equestrian Nights

The twins just gape at the huge mansion. Water lets out a low whistle, and then another once they are inside. "This place is swank." "Agreed." The twins set about exploring the room, following each other around looking at decorations and opening doors. "I don't think Id be comfortable living in a place like this." "I would." Water teases, flapping up to the high ceiling. "So much room." "Exactly..."

"A mirror? Oooh!" Lavender never had anything like that of her own. she turned to Bubbling Springs "Could you get that for me from down there? PleasePleasePlease?

Wandering's eyes go a little wide. He certainly wasn't expecting the house to be a mansion. Once inside he remarks, "Reminds me of a friend's 'house.'" He looks around the room idly, then heads towards the archway, peeking his head around to see what's there.

"Sure thing." Bubbling says, shivering as he picked up the mirror with his magic. He could feel the water in the puddle, even though he wasn't physically touching it. He pulls the mirror out of the hole and quickly juggles Lavender and Teddy onto his back, leaving the mirror in front of Lavender and trusting that she would grab it before it fell. He clenches his eyes as spots dance across them, shivering as ice water drips down his back, then looks up at their pegasus guide. "We seem to be ready. Lead on."

For the thousandth time, Lavender wished she had telekinesis so she cpuld get a better grip, but she settled for grabbing it in her mouth.

"Alright then. This way," she says, proceeding to head down the street. "I'm Mint Jewel, by the way."

Wandering Eye and Steam Twins

Romance seems unfazed by the granduer. "It is nice, isn't it... I'll be able to get my own home like this soon. I wonder what she meant by 'nobody home,' though..."

Wandering Eye finds the archway leads into a long dining room, dominated by a mahogany table that could easily seat as many as twenty, with chairs to match and (unlit) candles every third place or so. A huge window on the outer wall lets the afternoon sun in, and more doors lead off to more rooms.

The twins find a variety of things behind the various doors, and almost immediately notice a pattern: some of them are slightly smaller than the others, and these always turn out to be small closets. Some of them have decorative inlays made of a deep black wood, and these are always either bedrooms or something similar. White doors (Of which there aren't too many) are bathrooms of various size and opulence, and a few doors, with brass inlays, are locked.

"Bubbling Spring." He says shortly, smiling just a little.

"So, I've never owned a mansion before or anything..." "Are doors usually color-coded like this? That seems kind of odd." "I'm sure its helpful if you have guests over a lot." "Sure, maybe..." Water opens another black door, to another bedroom. "It also seems odd that there are this many bedrooms, and they're all right off the main foyer." She wanders into the room, Soft casually following her, and they begin searching through the room for anything of interest.

Mint Jewel nods, and Bubbling Spring can see a hint of a smile on her face as well. "Bubbling Spring. Can I call you Bubbles?"

Bubbling Springs squints and throws a sidelong glance at Mint Jewel. "No. No you may not." he says, his mouth set at a disgruntled tilt.

"Oh. Maybe just Spring, then?" Mint replies, sounding apologetic. "Your full name is a bit unwieldly."

((...Well, it is.))

"...Spring." Bubbling Spring says, testing the abbreviation on his tongue. "I can live with that."

Mint nodded slowly. "She's cute. Is she yours?" she asked, nodding towards Lavender on your back.

"Eh, not bad I guess." "We've certainly seen worse places to sleep." "Yeah." The twins exit the room and rejoin Romandy. "I don't think I'd wanna live in a house this big, not unless I had like, a dozen kids." "As if you'll ever have that many kids." "Ok, 1) thats exactly what I mean, and 2) shut up. Again." Water pokes her tongue out at her sister and goes to one of the brass doors. "Bedrooms, bathrooms, closets... so what's behind these?" She wonders aloud.

Lavender was only a bit surprised to see the draconeqqus in the mirror. Weird was a relative word, after all. "Hi!" she said brightly

Bubbling Spring snorts, reddening a little. "Certainly not."

Wandering idly wonders what the room would look like if the candles were lit. He then decides that maybe the group shouldn't split up, and heads back, then upstairs, to regroup with the Twins.

"Heeeeeey, Lusty!" Water notices him reenter the room. "You know how to get past doors, probably, right? Can you get one of these open." "Water, we don't need to be breaking into ponies' rooms." "Yeah, but just one, I'm curious." Soft shakes her head, and shrugs. "Fine, whatever."

Discord slowly puts down the toothbrush to pick up something small and red, with which he scrawls against the glass:

Why are you in my mirror?

"Huh. I didn't think so, but I didn't want to assume... But whatever. What are you doing at the well?"

"I wouldn't," Romance says warningly. "Locked doors are locked for a reason. If you're that curious, it might be easier to wait for Miss Stretch and ask."

"I don't know, Why are you in my mirror?"Lavender replied. He probably couldn't hear her, though. So she settled for shrugging.

"Just meeting some friends we got separated from. Also, possibly getting hypnot--" Bubbling Spring stops talking abruptly as he realizes that Lavender has her own conversation going on above him, and it's apparently not with Teddy. "Who are you talking to?" He asks, slowly lifting her off his back and bringing her in front of him. The sight of Discord in the mirror shocks him enough to break his telekinetic hold on Lavender, dropping her to the cobblestones as he stares at the mirror in shock. When he finally manages to process a reply to the situation, he simply manages "You have got to stop leaving your things lying around."

"...'Lusty?'" Wandering stands for a moment in confusion, before replying to the latter part of their statement. "Romance has a point. We could - and should - just ask Taffy when she gets back."

"Ughhhh, ok fiiine." Water crosses her hooves and flaps back over to the rest of them, rolling her eyes.

Discord's eyes widen. He hastily wipes away the writing on the glass for a new message.

You too!? This is stranger and stranger... Good thing I know how to read lips or this would be a difficult conversation. And what do you mean, "leaving my things lying around"? Where are you?

Mint Jewel looks over your shoulder to see. "...what is that?"

"An odd acquaintance." Bubbling Spring says, in a tone that suggests Mint keep quiet for a moment. "And we found it in Fillydelphia." He adds to Discord.
