Baiscally, whneveer smooene sees your nmae, "Deonte", tehy quilkcy look oevr it and raed it as "Denote", becsaue taht is a comomn wrod. Bceuase of tihs, pepole konw you as "Denote", and not "Deonte"...Wikipedia wrote:Typoglycemia is a neologism given to a purported recent discovery about the cognitive processes behind reading written text. The word does not refer to any actual medical condition related to hypoglycemia. The word appears to be a portmanteau of "typo", as in typographical error, and "hypoglycemia". It is an urban legend/Internet meme that appears to have an element of truth to it.
The legend, propagated by email and message boards, purportedly demonstrates that readers can understand the meaning of words in a sentence even when the interior letters of each word are scrambled. As long as all the necessary letters are present, and the first and last letters remain the same, readers appear to have little trouble reading the text.
- Spoiler:
- Basically, whenever someone sees your name, "Deonte", they quickly look over it and read it as "Denote", because that is a common word. Because of this, people know you as "Denote", and not "Deonte"...

It might've split during the middle of a conversation or something

Sorry for disappearing there for a day or two-things have been so busy and stressful for me I can't even remember without specifically checking the dates whether or not I've been absent one day or two.
I disappear a lot, but if it ever becomes a permanent state, assume I'm dead. In the meantime, thank you for putting up with it; I'm going to update now.

Due to the appearance of Shining Armour, is it fair to say that I read this line wrong in that we aren't over 100 years in the future of Present Day Equestria, and it was the unicorn who came from the future, or have we gone back in time or something?AProcrastinatingWriter wrote:And a little over a century in the future, one disgruntled unicorn is very, very angry about it.

@Paper Shadow: All of those interpretations are valid if the sentence is taken on its own! However, rather than answer you directly, I feel I shall be maddening and ask you to look over the evidence presented in story (Already and in the future) and come to your own conclusions!
@Dusk: You shouldn't worry unless you believe that all of reality is merely some sort of fiction being enjoyed by someone else somewhere else and that that was some sort of ominous foreshadowing. If you don't believe that, here's why you shouldn't worry: I have no problems with illness or even unhealthiness (except perhaps an over-tendency to rely on sugary drinks) and am only disappearing frequently as matter of hypothesis, not certainty. My disappearances would be caused by obligations to college and/or work, not by lack of interest, and therefore will be short.
tl;dr: Barring an eventful life, I'll be checking in every day. If an eventful life occurs, I'll likely only be gone a day or two. 94 percent of the world's population will eventually die of natural causes, not murder or illness or accident. I don't think there's any reason to worry.
EDITED-IN FUN-FACT: I originally had "accent" written in where "accident" was and that is hilarious to me.
- Or, alternatively, click this spoiler.:
- Yes, this unicorn fellow came from the future, not that you know that in-character yet. Whether the rest of ECHO did, a portion of ECHO did, or none of ECHO did is still up in the air, however.

@Paper: grr it reduces the possibilities for people who didn't look under the spoiler but
Yeah, no, you guys aren't from the future, unless one of you retroactively has a really cool secret in your backstory or something.

Oh my. Battle as a skill challenge. Although I don't think Scorch has very high Arcana...
Well, I'm up for any reasonable number of shots... I'd say 4-5.

I'll save the "Actual" battles for the more personal stuff than "flinging fireballs over a shield".

Ugh, now I'm pissed you *didn't* railroad Brilli into staying. She misses out on the all important stuff - and the crazy magic - for the sake of a kid, an asshole, and a changeling. Joy.

I'm reminded of a quote from the Dresden Files. To paraphrase:
"God wants you to be happy, but he ain't gonna giftwrap it for you. You have to make your own choices." - Uriel, Heaven's wetworks operator

Re: Luna's Command: The Wibbly-Wobbly Saga (Looking for No More replacement)
Sorry, I needed to know (although you could have just PM'd me the answer if you wanted to). Since I thought we were from the future, I had mentally made Spike (who would have been obviously a number of decades older) as an idol for Scorch as the dragon was growing up, an example of a successful dragon assistant. They wouldn't have met, of course, but Scorch would have been told stories (such as what happened at the Crystal Empire) and whatnot. I would of had him fangasming over the possibility of meeting Spike which would have been weird as it actually is so I had to make sure that it was not the case, although I had a creeping suspicion it wasn't (although I thought more that we had travelled back in time) when Luna's list of what has happened since the return of Nightmare Moon stopped after Twilight became princess...AProcrastinatingWriter wrote:@Paper: grr it reduces the possibilities for people who didn't look under the spoiler but

Well, I'm just gonna take Writer's advice and say that I shoot fire just as good as I always do and not have to roll. Otherwise I would use Endurance. Sadly, because I am an impatient idiot, I've already used Awesomeness today on a useless roll, so we don't have that protection, although I still have my magic point. Do you have any magic points left yourself?Dusk Raven wrote:Oh my. Battle as a skill challenge. Although I don't think Scorch has very high Arcana...

Also, Retro, what exactly did you roll for your resist on each die? While I sure you didn't roll any 8s, it's always just nice to know so I don't end up wondering if you did...

Sorry, don't remember! I know it didn't trigger any crits, though. I'll try to remember to spell it out in the future regardless.Paper Shadow wrote:Also, Retro, what exactly did you roll for your resist on each die? Wait, did he just drop dead from the ongoing damage? Because I JUST saved up enough PIPs to hit him with Telekinetic Implosion (Crescendo)!
Also, for future reference, would that count as 1 attack for the purposes of activating the Spellblade or multiple?

Actually, you don't have to answer that, because Crescendo was deemed too powerful and was split into two or three different combat talents...Retrokinesis wrote:Wait, did he just drop dead from the ongoing damage?
