Now everyone else needs to roll what Jeraylia did: A roll to see if you're blinded (or KO'd even) by what is essentially a flash-bang grenade, followed by whatever you actually plan on doing afterwards, if it doesn't affect you.

Unless you had a distinct reason to not be looking in the direction of the orb, which is a bit hard to determine without a proper positioning.

I'd just like to say in my defense, I was only trying to see if I recognise it on the fly, not actually try to pick it up XD. On the plus side, since everyone's blinded, they can't smack me over the head.

Rolls:

The alchemical orb bursts into a loud flash and bang.

Zthulan and Skitter are blinded by it, while the proximity and shock factor knocks out Jeraylia temporarily, causing her to topple over...

...right into the path of the crossbow kobold who attempted to use the situation to make an exit, forcing him to drop his black orb. He continues past Skitter without it.

Horizon, thanks to his mask, retains his vision, whilst Rolf avoids the flash by not being in position to be blinded by it.

The helmet-bold attempts to use the situation to attack Jeraylia, but Rolf spots it and blasts him with a missile. The force of impact breaks most of him apart, as well as knocking its helmet off, which flies off into an arc, landing snugly and comfortably on top of Rolf's head.

The party is starting to hear the "thing" behind them, grinding and arcing, accompanied by flashes of light from its tunnel.

The helmet-bold is destroyed. Horizon can still retroactively do "a thing" if he wishes. Blinded peeps roll to see if you're unblinded (it will clear itself eventually, this just speeds it up) + do whatever other things you intend on doing.

Jeraylia stares at the ceiling, waiting for the fireworks to finish. She coughs and a small gout of smoke puffs out.
"When the enemy plays 'catch', you don't have to join in."
She gives her eyes a few more blinks, and slowly stands up.
"Also, the ground is very reliable. Its always there to catch you when you fall. People don't appreciate that as much as they should."

"Yeah, sure. But..." Horizon then limps over to the Black orb and picks it up. "If the enemy leaves his toys behind, Finders Keepers." He contemplates tossing it into the tunnel behind them to slow the approaching death machine, but decides if what they had already done wasn't going to stop it, then whatever the ball was wouldn't either. "Might be fun later. Now let's go, shall we?"

"Careful with that orb, it's a bit greasy," Rolf said. He took off the helmet, looked at it, shrugged, then tossed it away. He decided to pick up the chain and bear-trap. He had an idea that might work against the thing that was chasing them, but he'd prefer to test it in a place that wasn't supported by a mostly-broken pillar.

"We'd best keep moving. That last kobold is probably weaponless and is heading right for those paladins, so I'm not overly concerned about him. But whether we decide to confront that drilling thing behind us or just leave it behind in the tunnels, it won't be good to just stand around here." He started to make his way towards Skitter's tunnel, using the skeleton parts as stepping stones while avoiding the caltrops.

The group (or those who wish to) continue after the crossbow-bold. A short while before reaching end of the tunnel, they hear a commotion in the next room.

"Is that a kobold?"
"Whatever it is, it's undead! To arms! Smite it!"
"Is... is it from our graveyard? If that thing came out, where are the heroes? And what's that noise?"
"Worry about that later! Don't let it out! Block the exits! Keep it away from the High Priest!"
"Sir, you're in my spot!"
"Is it armed? What's that thing its holding?"
"Looks like an alchemy or-"

Suddenly, a loud "bang" noise erupts, At the same time as a bright flash.

"AAH!"
"YOU FOOL!"
"MY EYES!"

As the party enters the room, they see several of the paladins in the room, clutching their helmets and eyes. The crossbow-bold is in the center of the room, attempting to sneak past the paladins, but is having difficulty due to them blocking the two exits partially. The kobold, realizing the new arrivals, takes something red out of one of its pockets.

Meanwhile, for those that chose to remain in the room, or haven't left yet: The "thing" is approaching fast: Erratically moving glints of metal can be seen in the back. It's about to enter the book.

Seeing the approaching mystery item Zthulan sprints his way towards the others, and arrives just to see the kobold revealing another orb. "Oh no you don't!" With a roar he flings Koras like a javelin straight towards the kobold's hand.

"That figures. Worthless paladins can't handle a single skeleton." Horizon releases the blinking Jeraylia for a moment, and does his best to run across the room, allowing momentum to stumble him forward and form an improvised diving tackle at the kobold.

Some kind of attack roll: Nat1-3= Super Irony Failure
I did assume because Jeraylia should still be blind and I was moving forward that we stumbled on together.

Rolf quickly tries to use Mage Hand to keep the red orb from falling.

I'm somewhat working off of the basis that Skitter successfully head shotted it.

I'll wait to see what happens. Don't want to make things worse needlessly. I'll just go off what Bronymous did.

"Hey, what's happening?" Jeraylia demanded, feeling the hand guiding her release her shoulder. She reached out and grabbed what felt like cloth. Unfortunately, it was worn by something trying to accelerate pretty quickly. Regrettably, Jeraylia had what those in the sports business might call safe hands. She felt herself being pulled forwards by her iron grip, and heard the sound of shoes slipping on the dirt. Abruptly, she found herself reacquainting herself with the floor.
"I think we should start seeing other people," she said, flatly.
