A World, A Part

"Also those who still need food... Should be able to find it in the kicten of this place..." Dynamo comments. "Don't know why I didn't suggest that sooner. Guess the stress of everything was getting to me."

"Well, yes, they have food..." Jingle thought for a moment. "But how do you suggest we pay for it? I agree with Vinnie."

"We basically have taken control of this place far as I understand." Dynamo explains. "So it'd be for free mostly... We're just going to have to wait for madness..."

Kyats blinked through between, into the inn's kitchens. He searched hopefully for some sort of meat or carnivorous fare, but was fairly sure there would be none

"In that case, I'll head up to the roof and keep a lookout, just call if you need me for anything."
Vinnie walks out the door, then wafts up to the inn's roof. Once there, he spreads out most of his mass, forming a thin film to cover the roof and raises a single stalk with a high amount of optical sensors.
This done, he powers down most nonessential systems, preparing to recover spent mass and resources.

Kyats doesn't find any meat. Lots of things like chocolate milk and Sheep Herd's Pot Pie (on inspection revealing to be, a flaky pastry outer shell with chunks of marshmallow, candy corn, and nougat floating in a light mousse).

"Do they have any chocolaaaate?" Jingle Bell circled around the side of the building. "If so, I'll take it!" She circled once more. "Does this building not have a door or something? Or am I blinded by the sweety deliciousness?"

Circling around the building for the second time, Jingle spots the doorway, which Dynamo is currently standing in staring at Fallen Arches... probably in horror. She also saw people fleeing away on the other road on the other side of the inn where there was also a door, which you can see through past Dynamo since they're directly across from each other. She also hears some noise from inside the inn (presumably one of the others). (OOC: That'd be Kyats in the kitchen.)

"Y'know," Jingle Bell said as she entered the inn and followed the noise to the kitchen. "If everyone here is made of candy, and the fact that they have candy as like, a food, does that make them cannibals?" She poked her head into the doorway of the kitchen. "Helloooo?"

"Maybe... We don't know enough about how the realm works to be sure either way." Dynamo comments then starts to muse to herself out loud. "But as long as eating doesn't happen between sentiet races, it's not immoral... Then again if they aren't actively doing murder to eat, it's not immoral either... Like it could be a type of social way this realm avoids the trubles of entropy by having a system set up where they eat what has already died... Which would lead to some interesting problems if that's true given our existence here might just has messed everything up by us just breathing the air here and junk."

Jingle discovers Kyats in the kitchen, as well as many delicious treats (some of which are on the floor). One thing that stands out is something that looks like a cross between a pizza and a cream cheese danish.

She picked up the pizza-danish thing. "I'm pretty sure having so much food on the floor violates at least one health food regulation. ...But the world is made of candy, so I guess they're exempt?" Jingle studied the food she was holding. "What the heck is this, anyway?"

"I have no idea... Food's not something I care about when it comes to names. I only care about the taste, if anything..." Dynamo yells out to Jingle.

After the group ate or whatever or didn't in some cases, they each found somewhere to sleep. There were plenty of choices given that the place was now empty. The night passed and rolled over into morning and after waking up (probably late) and assembling, the group was faced with a choice. Continue north or head north-east?

Gnarl looked down upon his fellow partygoers, for lack of a better term, feeling relatively cheerful and refreshed after his dirt nap.

"Relatively" being the keyword in that sentence.

Still, he'd gotten over his grumpy tendency to want to go back to his cave all the time and was...almost...ready to go exploring and see what could be found here. If nothing else, the trees (oddly colored and sticky without sticks though they might be) were in trouble, as far as his connection with nature could tell.

Then again, maybe these trees lexicon was different than what he was used to. A tad unbeleafable, but it would be the least strange thing to happen to him in the past few weeks.

"So," he grumbled, rough like his barky skin, "We gonna head somewhere or what?"

The Reaper shrugged, looked around to see if anyone was at risk from what it was about to do and flipped it's scythe into the air again.

The scythe gets stuck in a candy cane tree (that's to the south so there!).

Gnarl did nothing but chuckle. It sounded a bit like creaking stairs.

"I say we go north." Jingle suggest. "Nothing bad has ever come of going north. I lived in the North Pole, for Pete's sake!"

The Reaper just went over to the tree to try and pull it's scythe out.

Gnarl was trying not to get pulled into the conversation. He was failing. "North Pole? Whuzzat?"

Jingle clasped her hooves together, and stared into the sky with a dreamy look. "The North Pole? It's the best place in the world! Where Santa lives with his hundreds of elves, and me and the other reindeer, Dasher and Dancer and Prancer and Vixen, and Comet and Cupid and Donner and Blitzen, and there used to be Uncle Rudolph but no one likes to talk about him anymore... Yeah, it's perfect and amazing and it's where we help make all the little kids' dreams come true 363 days a year, not counting Christmas and day-after-Christmas break!"

Vinnie gathers himself together, jumps off the roof, splats, reforms to join the rest.
"Either seems fine to me. Either way I'd vote we do NOT head for Boss Molasses's domain first. He appears to be the more competent one, which would make it difficult to get resources out of him. Or supplant him entirely, if that is what we wish"
((OOC: not sure what to do about Kyath: I promised I'd use magic>Instant Party for food. Does le good drake disappear entirely, or will we have an NPC party member for now?))

Fallen Arches looks at the assembled group, then in a moment of realizing he doesn't want to give Dynamo more of a reason to put a muzzle on him says, "North sounds good to me."

"Well looks like the group say north... So we're heading north..." Dynamo said with a shrug as she started walking that way.
