Alright, here's where I am with this.

While part of me wants to wait, I may attempt to jump the gun and get the thread started tonight/tomorrow.  While there's planning that's not fully done, it helps me to finish things when I get some momentum and my other campaigns are thwarting my ability to build that for this game.  I do know what the first mission will be: a superpowered bank robbery.  It's easy to set up, allows players to ease into role play/using their build, and it has jumping off points for later since there are quirks and twists planned for it.

Originally, I was going to have two teams and have them converge for this robbery but I think I'm just going to make it one team.  Makes meetup far easier though there will be variance on how long some of you have known each other.

And suddenly all my games are about to start... right when I'm getting really busy. Cool.

Wait, are we commiting a robbery or preventing one? And do those have to be mutually exclusive?

Preventing. Committing would be a rather different campaign.

Campaign thread is up. As mentioned, getting my momentum built up as we go.

Ok, for RP purposes, can I get a reminder of how old everyone is?

Claire's about 16.

Yuri is around 45 years old. He looks very fit for his age, but he doesn't look young.

Ash is 20-something.

Scratch is exactly 30.

Alright, and Phoenix is 16 as well. So two teens, 3 adults, good dynamics.

BTW, I hadn't figured for who else he might have known previously, so up to you guys if you've met him before or not. (And each other, too, I guess.)

So... is anyone waiting for an answer to a question?

Idk what a "Raven" is in this context, but if you're going for black VTOL stealth jet, my propensity towards real-world stuff will have to be suspended. So whatever you like.

I'm a little confused as to where we are right now. We obviously skipped to the plane, which is fine, but did we also skip most of the ride to the bank?

It's black and flies so it's the most vague and broad of name A after concept B.

*sigh* With the lack of initial conversation, I assumed people wanted to jump right into things. Thus, I pushed things forward...while more than one person has expressed surprise at the magnitude of the skip. Taking a step back to look at it, I'll admit to jumping the gun. As GM, my biggest worry isn't trolls--it's inaction. I hate watching a campaign die on the vine and trying to head it off sometimes gives me a bit of an itchy trigger finger. How would you guys like to resolve this? There's a few options ranging from backtracking slightly to doing a "while we were travelling I..." type of post.

I think that Iron Maiden would like to at least bring up that bank robbing really doesn't seem like Staticaster's style, at least.

I think in this case the fact that we were in a briefing about the upcoming mission meant that the focus was more on getting information from the NPC and reacting to that than conversing amongst ourselves. Trying to make sure things keep moving is a good goal, but I think we could've used more of an opportunity to have questions answered and respond to those answers before being ushered onward; I know I was waiting for an answer to "how is it laid out and where are the hostages?" so I could step in and ask some more pointed questions.

Everyone okay with a backtrack then? It's only a few posts to delete/handwave if so.

I don't care that we skipped- if you recall, Phoenix suggested that we get a move on. I just wasn't sure WHEN we had skipped to, whether it was shortly after taking off, or when we were almost there.

If you want to roll it back, that's up to you and fine with me.

I don't mind either way, but I think I lean a little bit more towards moving forward. I don't mind rolling back, and it would have its advantages, but in the long run it's probably better to just keep things going.

Could we just have it retconned that Iron Maiden said that it wasn't like her to rob banks, and she's leaning more towards the copycat theory? Because that's the oonly thing bothering me personally.

You could probably bring it up right now if you wanted, though admittedly I'm not entirely clear where the whole team is. Are they hanging out in the jet? Are they all getting out now or is it just Ash and Scratch?

I'm up for moving to whenever. I probably would've requested a file on Staticaster post-briefing, but that could easily be retconned into the current scene.

Removed one sentence, "Once it arrived, it hovered above the roof so Ash and Scratch the team could exit." Also, I need to proofread better instead of posting in a rush, ugh.

A simple enough edit/retcon that can now imply the group is traveling as opposed to being already there. Yuri has Staticaster's file.

So is Ash's first post staying? The only posts that really have to go are the disembarkment posts, and Yuri would totally have responded to that if I had noticed the post in time.

She would've asked that question either way, so sure. Hanging out the jet might be a little premature when they're not already there but being edgy & reckless is part of the deal here.
