Blade flies up to Buck's eye level and says, "Oh yeah, it could definitely be a trap. That's not gonna stop us from charging into it though. You could call us crazy if you wanted to, but I prefer to think of it as bravery. The two seem to overlap often enough."

Gleeda points downwards. "OVER THERE! That's the place we need to go to!" Then she flies straight into the fog to land in the back of the novicaly shop that's clearly being broken into, or at least that's what Gleeda was able to see with her magic eyes!

As Gleeda enters the Fog of Evil, she closed her eyes and tries to use her other fine honed senses to move around on her on... Hoping it'll be enough to not be effected by the evil fog of evil.

"For the buckin' record - I don't condone this." Buck mutters as he follows Whisper's orders and dives into the fog, bellowing, "GLEEEEEEEEEEDAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!" at the top of his lungs.

As you swoop down into the black fog, Coffee Mug, Chitin, and Blade all recognize the familiar cacophony of voices - whispering, screeching, howling, cackling - and everypony else can hear it now too, growing louder as you delve deeper into the mist. Each of you begin to pick out distinct voices from the cacophony, voices of friends and family, alive and deceased - screaming warnings, beseeching you to turn back - but Coffee's true-sight spell seems to be holding out for Blade, Whisper, and himself. The three of you can see the street for what it is, and follow the path set by Gleeda as the Griffon Princess soars over the pavement and lands just before a building with the title: Big Mike's Novelty Goods Shoppe. A golden statue of Mighty Mike himself stands in front of the building, and you realize the shop isn't far from where Coffee and Blade had been overwhelmed by fog visions in the first place.

As you draw closer and come in for your own landings, you can make out a group of Ponies in black - you recognize them as Mike's guys, probably security guards - lying prone (and apparently unconscious) all about the entrance of the shop. The ponies seem badly bruised and beaten, and as you notice the shards of glass and wood scattered about the sidewalk, you realize the door to the shop must have also been forced open.

As Gleeda closes her eyes, her other senses take over. She can still hear the cacophony of voices mingling in the mist, but no visions of monsters and miasmas assault her. She smells the scent of chemicals in the air, mingled with horse-hair and swamp scents. She feels the concrete of the street, the beaten bodies of the guards, and the broken glass on the ground. Realizing that the glass could be a problem, she treads carefully.

As for Chitin, her vision flashes in and out with shadowy figures, clawing hands, and gnashing teeth - nightmare visions that flicker in and out of perception. She tries to remain calm however, ignoring everything but what seems real - the street, the buildings, her allies.

Meanwhile, before Whisper can slide off Buck's back, she begins to feel him trembling. He ruffles his feathers, looking around nervously but saying nothing.

Coffee Mug concentrates for a moment, his horn shining in the mist like a fog light as he attempts to summon up a mental map and transfer it into everypony's mind. He quickly realizes however that it's near-impossible to create a mental map of a building he's never been in before and that he knows little to nothing about. He can guess at the layout of the interior, but that's the best he can do for now. He creates a two-story schematic and moves on. As for the life-detection spell, Coffee's able to set blue and yellow blips on the exterior of the mental building image to indicate his allies and the unconscious guards - but as he tries to expand his magical scan to the interior of the novelty shop, he picks up an indistinguishable mass of red and yellow that looks more like a blob of color than a distinct number of lifeforms.

Coffee sends all of this to the others in high-def quality, realizing as he does so that he might be picking up more than just hostiles inside the building...

Instead of getting off Buck, she lays down (yeah on top of him) and gives him a hug and says, "You know it's not real right? It's some scary noises and ominous shadows but, that's it. It can't really hurt you. It's just Vodun magic and we both know you're way tougher than them."

Persuasion on Buck to alleviate his fears: 9 + 17 = 26.

Gleeda keeps to using her senses and just enters as carefully as she can, and uses what she can to be as stealthy as she can hoping that Coffee's map is good enough to help her get a lucky drop on the thieves...

Blade follows about two yards behind Gleeda. He doesn't know her very well, but is assuming she has a better grasp of the situation than he does based on her demeanor.

Chitin was silent as she cautiously moved closer to the downed security. Looking them over more closely to see if there was anything she could find out about what they could expect inside from what had happened to them.

Buck takes in a deep breath and exhales it with a shudder.

"The buckin' noises I can take..." the Griffon mutters with a low rumble, "The shadows too... It's just..."

He starts to tremble.

"Feels like these clouds are closing in... like they're gonna buckin' suffocate me..."

Meanwhile, as Gleeda slips into the shop, she moves as silently as a panther on the prowl, keeping her belly low to the ground and her senses open for any noise, smell, or feeling that might alert her to the thieves' positions.

Following some distance behind her, Blade looks into a front room that seems to be filled with long aisles chock full of nick-knacks. He makes out big shelves of greeting cards, souvenirs, music, and clothing among other things. At the front of the room and to the left of you are a couple of check-out counters complete with cash registers, and at the back of the room you can make out a door leading on into another section of the shop.

Chitin watched the little purple gel warily before her horn flared up with magic, one of her daggers floating out of her bag and positioning itself in the air for a moment. In a flash, it stabbed down at the unusual thing, lancing it from the body of the security pony.

"I think I found something dangerous. Some kind of parasite thing... Looks like purple jelly and shoots out some kind of toxic gas. Oh and I think it's alive..." She says aloud to Whisper and Buck, sending it as a telepathic message to Gleeda, Blade Blocker, and Coffee Mug.

'Huh. Thats was on one of the security guards? Is it on any of the others? Would it be possible to keep one of them alive with your PK? We'll probably want to study that later. Maybe put in a glass jar or something...' responding to all recipients. 'Maybe there's something around here that'd work. Hmm..Blade, Gleeda do you see any glassware around here that'd work? Preferrably something with a lid.'

OOC: Perception check. Look for a glass jar, like something you'd put fruit preserves in. Also asking for assist check here. +2 from either Gleeda or Blade would take this to 25.

Gleeda thinks hard on what she was aware of and just tries to keep hinding. "I think they're aware of the Pegasus that followed me in... But they've not yet noticed me." The Griffon sent on the privet mind-link she was hoping still was working right now. She Mental magics like this always freaked her out so she didn't know a good deal how they worked. But right now she had to trust them because her friends seemed to trust them.
