Cloud glides to a hover behind the billboard and, with a frown, peeks around the side to see if she's close enough to project a mat of grass behind the protester.
<(Grey, Dart) "Wait, I'm the lynchpin of this whole thing? I don't...feel confident about this going off then. Why don't you get the Sarge or one of the counselors to do it? They can do a much better job than I could." >

Meta:

Dart looked around in the tunnel he was in. It was nice dirt, and maybe it could serve as a cool hiding place for later. He set about enlarging the space he was in, taking care to not collapse the tunnel over himself.

"Awright then kid." Jewel reached down and ruffled Marsh's mane before getting back to work on her cleaning.

Back near the front of the camp, Cloud hides easily behind the billboard, landing pretty damn gracefully. Pornstache nearly catches a glimpse of her because he's lucky, but nothing else. From what you can see, you should be able to cast the illusion correctly with a bit of effort, but you might want to set it up before Dart makes with the ice.

Figuring that Featherbow may still need to rest from what happened, Marsh decided to head out to the lake.  After some difficulty in finding Loften's pagoda based on Jewel's map, Marsh got the pool skimmer and started skimming the algae from the parts of the lake that were closest. Slowly, she began filling the pot she acquired.

OOC:

Cloud waits a few seconds for a reply, and when none comes she rolls her eyes.

Despite being distracted by Grey's admission that she has been disguising herself as a blank flank, Cloud attempts to set up the grass mat.
Being distracted and trying to set up mental projections don't exactly go together, though.

Meta:

The ground beneath Pornstache's hooves turns a brilliant pink with a floral pattern. Pornstache leaped off it with all four hooves, landing just barely on Whinnying Rock's property line. He didn't seem to notice as he began screaming to his imaginary audience: "You see! Did you see this? Their psychic pseudomagic is hurting the very fabric of the earth itself! The ground tried to open up and swallow me in it's awful volcanic maw! Run children, run from this horrid place! Let this camp be shut down and burned to the ground!"

In the meantime, Marsh is easily able to scoop the algae off the lake without any rollsgreat effort. The only feasible issue is that a few older kids are playing in the water or practicing their Aquamancy. Loften isn't in his pagoda yet, but if the students stealing beachballs from it are any indication, the stuff inside is fairly free range.

<(Cloud, Dart, Pyro) Why didn't I think of that? Pyro you're up. Dart it seems our parts are unnecesary after all. Cloud I don't care if you did that on purpose or not the results were much better than what I had planned.> *Grey drops her invisibility effect and appears struggling to breathe through her laughter where she had been hiding. As soon as she manages to recover she decides to throw in a little something extra for Pornstache's paranoia* <(Pornstache) The hairless Ursa sends her greetings> <(Cloud, Dart) Meet me by the board and I'll give you a treat while we decide what we should do next.>

Like a phantom in the night Pyro was standing behind the Pornstached One. "'Burned to the ground'? Been there, done that, got the lawsuit. Speaking off," he said, pouncing on the intruding unicorn, not caring if Magimind helped or not...

Athletics:

You easily take down Pornstache with the help of Magimind, who stares him down with a look that could freeze an ocean. He could easily be chained at this point, but he won't stop shouting about magic being the one true way.

Cloud snaps back from her thoughts and quickly dismisses the atrocity. < (Grey) "Oh...uh...yeah. That was an accident, but I'm glad it worked out for you." >

Pyro focused his mind as a red-hot string materalized, quickly wrapping itself around the other unicorn's legs in a hog tie. That being done, the sergeant waited for the loudmouth to open up wide enough, and shoved his hoof in as a temporary gag.

"Listen," Pyro started, having obtained a brief pause from the unicorn. "I'm not unwilling to talk it out like grown-ups. But you are already guilty of trespassing, and your little shouting sprees are threatening the minds of my students; and, by extension, everyone else present. I am legally entitled to kill you if I deem it necessary, and narly every child here could do it by accident. So please, for the moment, take my advice, fo your own safety, and SHUT UP!"

Pornstache is quiet, clearly more than a little frightened by Pyro's ablities. "You...you're a unicorn though. You can do better than this. Both of you."

Magimind responds to this by spitting on him.

Pyro turned and deadpanned at Magimin. Patience, Magimind. He'll get it all in due time.

"Frankly, I never saw the difference," Pyro said in response to Pornstache. "As far as I'm concerned it's just more magic, except you don't need a bone on your head to do it. But let's not make this about me," Pyro said, stopping to roll the prisoner right side up (Making a point of doing so with "psychic" TK rather than "magic TK.) "Whether you like it or not, psychics exist. Sometimes they're born with it, just like you were born with a horn on your head. Sometimes it manifests later on in life. And sometimes, a bad-flank mo-fo manages to learn it on their own, just by being that determined," He paused, allowing it to sink in. Now, the third category probably doesn't appreciate what you do any more than we do. And what would you have us do with the first two? I've done the research, and removing a psychic ability altogether ranges from highly traumatizing to downright impossible. Tell me," Pyro continued, leaning in close to whisper. "Have you ever killed a pony? I have. Lots of them. Have you ever hqd to take off a unicorn's horn? How about a pair of wings? A leg? I've done it and not thought twice. How about a foal? I have. Just once. Short version: it wasn't fun, and I still have the scars from it, both physical and mental, and I'm still not sure if I have a soul anymore. So tell me, what do you propose I do with the undred some odd psychics here who just want to know how not to blow up their mom's head without meaning it?"

"You shouldn't train them!" he says angrily, "If you can't get rid of their powers, than you just aren't trying hard enough! I had almost fixed my son when you jokers took him away! You should know, you're a soldier! You have to hurt people or kill them to make things better in the long run."

"Oh, you have a son, do you?" Pyro responded, suddenly seeming a bit cheerier. "A unicorn, no doubt? Then you know all about the violent little magical outbursts baby unicorns have until they get to be about 3 or so. A scientist buddy of mine told me it's a defense mechanism, giving them an upper hoof against bigger, older, more experienced predators, but it just kind of peters out right around 3 years old, at which point they start building it up again slowly and surely, reacing full power right around 16, usually. But during those first couple of years, those babes get kind of dangerous... My father claimed I burned down a house once when I sneezed. So," The Sergeant paused to rub his chin. "By your logic they should've just cut off my horn before I turned a week old, right? Or maybe just slit my throat and been done with it? Because I was 'too dangerous'? Here's the thing. Yes, you sometimes have to kill someone for the greater good... But not because of something they can't help. Just like a young unicorn with exploding magic, or a pegasus with uncontrollable wings, or an earth foal that doesn't know his strength, you teach them. You don't amputate them, and you don't kill them. Save that for the ones who would bring it on others."

While waiting for the others to arrive at the billboard, Cloud pokes her head around the billboard, and watches as the sergeant berates the anti-psychic unicorn, a worried frown forming rapidly on her face as their...conversation...continues.

OOC: Weird.  Didn't notice this was still going on.  Didn't get any e-mail reminders.  Anyway, apologies.  Let's just Dart was too distracted by fixing up the tunnel to notice what was going on.

Dart continues working on his tunnel, expanding stuff here, and smoothing and tamping down things there, when he notices the voices speaking in mind, and apparently for the last few minutes, bringing him out of reverie.
He sends to Grey and Cloud. 'Huh.  Did I miss something?  I think I missed something.'

"That's different," he snarls up at you, "that's natural."

Magimind gives you a long, withering look. "As noble as your intentions are, Pyro, politicians, ministers and people with facial hair like that don't change. We would do better just to call the feds and press charges."

Cloud is able to hide quite easily and, depending on how quietly Pyro speaks, can hear at least parts of the conversation. Aka, wait for Crys' stealth roll.

<(Dart) Yeah, you missed seeing Cloud's flower garden make Pornstache freak out and nearly jump right out of his skin. We're over by the bulletin board getting ready to decide what we should do next.>

'Awww!! I missed that!' There's a distinct 'sound' of disappointment in Dart's mental voice.

Dart heads back the way he came and heads to the bulletin board.
