A World, A Part

Over in the corner, in a manner of speaking (a very odd one, considering he was outside at the moment), Gnarl grumped, grumbling grimly to his, well, gnarly self. No words could accurately be discerned from his low, ironically gravelly voice, though occasional snips of what have been the phrase "inexperienced stalks runnin' around with no idea what they're doin'" could repeatedly be plucked with a bit of effort.

Gnarl bent down (a difficult task for him, in more than one way) and looked at some of the road he had been walking on. It was comprised of some substance..."chakra", he thought the others called it, but it wasn't dirt, whatever it was. He poked the substance, more out of boredom than actual curiosity.

Gnarl could be patient when he wanted to. He just preferred it when he didn't have to be, was all. His lips creaked slightly as he sighed a gentle gust of wind, and he slowly straightened again. Being patient certainly was boring.

Fallen Arches lifts the table the waitress is hiding behind, "You Dare Mock Me?! I will forgive this slight now, but you must tell me everything about the rulers of this land. All four of them!" Then he adds, looking directly at the waitress, "My patience wears thin as my palate drys and stomach yearns for food!" finishing with his most evil of laughs.

Still in his hiding spot under the table, Vinnie's eyes go wide with 'fear'.
"It seems dangerous! Somecandy please give it some food before it gets angry! Who knows what it could do?"
Persuasion assist: 1d20+5 14+5 = 19

"O.....ok." says the waitress, trembling and then she and the other wait staff run into the kitchen. When they return they have several pies and glasses of chocolate milk... which they then promptly throw at Fallen Arches (along with a few fired crossbow bolts from other members of the crowd, that didn't hit) and yell for everyone to "Run for your lives!" Which is what happens and people scramble in every direction like chickens with their heads cut off.

The Reaper and Kyath hear a lot of noise and suddenly there are beings jumping out of the window they were at. A couple spot the pair and... well, continue screaming really.

The rest of the group hears Fallen Arches' shouting and then see a lot of people rush out their direction, see them, scream more, and then flee back inside, presumably to leave the other way.

Gnarl rubbed his head, bark scraping bark over the crease of his brow. At least he wouldn't have to be patient anymore.

The Reaper waves at the couple in a friendly manner, though it thinks that may be misinterperated.

Fallen Arches calms down at the resulting pile of pie and hucked chocolate milk. "Ooh, pie!" And then he begins happily eating, basically forgetting what was going on around him.

Dynamo just starts to hitting her head on the ground, again, for a few minutes, then she finally gets up the nerv to try and do some damage control and enters into the Inn... Getting ready for the worst of scenes for her to see apon entering.

Inside Dynamo, and whoever else enters, sees a now abandoned inn. It's a big mess with tables and chairs and such flipped over, food spilled on the floor and over where Fallen Arches is there's a great mess of pie, chocolate milk, broken glass candy, and a few crossbow bolts (made out of chocolate bark with hard candy tips).

"Well."
Vinnie exclaims from his hiding spot under a nearby table.
"We are certainly getting better at this. We managed not to cause panic to anyone for a full ten minutes there, I'd think"
The swarm reverts to it's previous metallic silver coloration.

"I'm starting to think we should keep Fallie on a leash..." Dynamo half-jokes.

Fallen Arches looks up from his disaster area, "Anyone else want pie? By the way, this is mostly Lady Chocolate's territory, Boss Molasses is to the West..."

Kyath flickered Between and reappeared in the devastated common room next to the cloud of minute things, he assumed was 'vinnie'.
well, that was an unmitigated disaster. again. where are we going next?

"Here's what I learned:
A nearby town just declared for Boss molasses, shouldn't matter too much, but it gives us some information on how the politics here play out.
More interestingly: things appear to get dangerous at night, at least for solitary travelers. The innkeeper was frightened when I mentioned being out for a few months."
Vinnie pauses for a moment
"Also, 'meatballs' appears to be the favorite local swearword. Very interesting, seeing as according to my scouters this whole world is made of candy."

The Reaper keeps lookout from the roof of the inn.

Fallen Arches looks over at Dynamo, "Say what you will about my methods, but I got us information and annexed this inn in the name of me. This is now the sovereign territory of... uhm... I'll think of a name later..."

"Meatballs... Mmm... That is interesting to learn..." Dynamo comments to Vinnie, then turns to Fallen Arches. "And I'm sure your hostile takeover of this Inn will clearly have bad ramaftions, we bearly understand the local potics as is..."

The Reaper sees beings fleeing down the road to the north east.

Gnarl, somewhere up above the heads of his companions, looked around at the chaos surrounding him with a slight gnashing of teeth-like appendages. Perhaps this is what his elders meant when they told him (while he himself was still just a sprout) about the road to Sittyskep being paved with good intentions and the arrogance of youth.

Or perhaps these guys were just idiots.

Gnarl doesn't see anything particularly interesting he wasn't already aware of.

Kyath flew back up to the roof and the reaper, and alighted on the end post of the roof.p, staring off into nothing and waiting for something more interesting to happen.

"Pff, hostile takeover. All I did was demand answers, they chose to abandon their inn to my mercy. That barely counts as a takeover, much less hostile." Fallen Arches states, matter-of-factly.

"It doesn't matter what you think of what your actions where Fallie... What matter is how others will see it. And they'll most likely see it as a hostile takeover..." Dynamo comments.
