Other than the dreadfully ill Storm Blade, no one seems obviously ill. Aces High and the dark blue unicorn could be in better condition, but they look healthy. Necrar seems healthy enough as well...

Around that time, Golden Wall enters the room, accompanying him is a pony in a biohazard suit, carrying a saddle bag. They make their way onto the stage, with Golden Wall heading towards the centre. He gazes around the room, somewhat satisfied on how many ponies have shown up. "Gentlecolts," the captain calls out to all of you, "I thank you for coming. Let us not waste time. This mission is regarding the illness epidemic that has fallen upon Saint-Trotez. Doctor Scope here has come from Germaney to help us, and she has found the cause of the many diseases. Doctor?"

The Captain headed to the back of the stage to let the pony in the biohazard suit to the front. "Yez, vank you Golden Vall. I believe zat ze cause of all vis is zat zomething haz happened to ze vater zupply." When the doctor says this, she levitates a bottle of water from her bag and shows you all. It doesn't seem like there is anything wrong with the water in the bottle. "Now, vis looks like ordinary vater, but it is in fact a mixture of vater and zomething else. I don't know vhat, but I am confident zat if I vaz ezcorted to vhere Zaint-Trotez gets its vater, I could figure it out, and possibly cure ze zity."

"And that's where you all come in."

Aces opened his mouth, about to say that he wasn't actually here to volunteer.

Then something occurred to him. That something being this month's rent.

"Yo, question," he amended before the words exited his mouth. "I know you're technically asking for volunteers, but is there any chance we could ge' paid for this?" he shrugged slightly. "I ain' a hero. I ain' doing this for free." He sniffled slightly.

The Captain thinks for a second. "Well, I wasn't planning on paying you, but as this is a urgent matter, I'm sure I can persuade the mayor to pay you all. Is there any other questions, or should I go over the plan?"

"Great, another pony with a strong accent." Storm Blade muttered to himself after hearing the doctor speak, when others asked for pay, he spoke up. "I won't NEED pay, but I won't turn down aan award. Not sure what else the plan can be than escort the doctor to the water supply. Any other suit through? Probably don't want the others catching anything."

"And while the plan is obvious," Golden Wall adds, "There's two ways we can go about this." On that note, the doctor starts to levitate another object from her bag. This time, it's a poorly drawn map of Saint-Trotez and the nearby forest. A river is drawn on the map, as well as what seems to be one red shape...

Map:

"We can either take the north-east path out of the city, follow to road until we hit the river, and then go along the river to this lake, or take the direct route, which may result in you getting slightly lost, but Doctor Scope has a compass, so hopefully you'll find your way to the lake."

"I zhould add zat ze lake zplits into two different rivers. I've had zamples from both, and both zeem contaminated, zo I doubt ve vill need to comb ze river to find ze zource of zis problem."

"Question what if the thing doing the stuff to the water is all the way at the source of the river and can we even get there if it is?"

"In that case, I will ask for assistance from outside the city. If Doctor Scope can't find anything at the lake, turn back. The forest is bad enough, the mountain is just far too dangerous for all of you."

"Make that two for the path." Necrar says, raising his hoof.

"Bes' to play our cards close to the chest for this one," Aces agreed, though that wasn't necessarily obvious through the gambling metaphor.

"Looks like the safe votes have a majority."

"Yeah, I wouldn't mind the safe route either," the unicorn chimes in...

"Very well. I suggest you move quickly, while the moon is high in the sky."

"Is this so urgent that it can not wait until dawn? Wait a second... let me guess there is a pony or more than one pony that is going to die unless we do this tonight."

"There's no reason, I just want this done as quickly as possible. I don't want this to wait, especially in case one of you get a disease."

"But if ve vait until dawn, ve vill have a zafer trip. It'll be easier to zee in ze forest."

The Captain turns to Doctor Scope and starts whispering to her. They have a small discussion. Eventually, Golden Wall turns to you all once more. "I guess you all have another decision to make. If you want to wait until dawn, so be it."

"I ain' exactly an early riser myself," Aces shrugs. "Migh' as well go now."

"Night is the best option for me." Necrar says.

"Alright." The Captain looks to Doctor Scope, who nods and levitates several biohazard suits, passing them out to all of you and the dark blue unicorn (as well as a few spare, two of which she places on the stage and one returning into the saddle bag)...

She then begins to leave the room. "Don't be too long, ve must get moving. I shall meet you at ze exit of ze town."

Sparks lets out a sigh "I'm really going against the flow of things today aren't I..." speaking more to himself than anyone present. He then beings putting on the suit while hoping that it wouldn't be too constricting before heading out.

Aces looked at the suit, then held up his fake leg. "Is, uh, this going to be a problem? Because I think i' migh' be."

As you put on the biohazard suits, you notice a few things about them. First, they are secure. Like, surprising secure. They still feel free though. For the most part, your movement isn't restricted. That said, it doesn't accommodate wings, so you won't be able to fly with these suits on. Second, the visor is darkened. Obviously this is to protect the wearer from the sun, but in the dark, it is more of a hindrance...

(If the problem I am thinking is the problem you are thinking, then yes, it will be a problem...)

Aces sighed and reluctantly put on the suit.

Bio-hazard suits. Most fashionable things there are. Necrar thinks, slowly putting the suit on, though he didn't need it.
