The Sun Sets

Initiative order:

All combat stats pick up where they left off, with the exceptions listed last post.

Bells' turn.

Bells throws out a quick spell to grab her as much magical energy as possible, so that she can use more powerful spells sooner.

Combat:

The Griffon sends to bear no immediate grudge against Dodger, choosing to lash out with a ghostly talon at its nearest foe, Storm.

Storm takes 3+4=7 damage.

Dodgers turn.

As the griffon lunges for Storm, Dodger leaps in the way, kicking it in the face.

"Are you forgetting someone?"

Combat:

"No..." The griffon's voice echos slightly, and more visions attack Dodger, though to no real effect. What does have an effect, though, is Dodger's hoof... our one just like his. Like a delayed mirror image, it materializes or if the fog at random, and hits Gearick like a runaway flower cart.

Meanwhile, the Alicorn has a more one track mind, charging straight for Kanen in another magic-fueled bull rush.

Griffon Reaction:

Gearick takes 16 damage

Kanen takes 2+5(Genocidal trait)= 7 damage

Storms turn.

Before Dodger's hoof, or a very good facsimile of, can complete its attack Storm throws a pill in its direction.  On contact with the hoof, it expands into what seems like a pillowy object.

Crunch:

After that, he removes a staff from his saddlebags, placing it in his mouth.  He waves it past Dodger's wounds.

Crunch:

Finally, he kicks at his cloud in the direction of the griffin.  A small bolt of lightning shoots out.  It doesn't seem like it does anything for the moment

Gearick's idea works... kind of. Kanen feels himself grow stronger, revitalized, but he is the only one. He and Storm are also the only ones to recognize the disembodied voice that speaks up. "Ooh good try little pony. Not quite the right method. But you're certainly on the right track. " The Alicorn does not react to it, but the Griffon cars movement, and listens. "This world may be of dreams, but you are not. Thanks by the way..." it seems to get colder all of a sudden, "for showing me the way OUT." Then it is gone, and the griffon resumes its assault.

Kanen receives 5 temp hp from Gearick's idea, and Gearick may spend a minor action on his turn to continue giving him 5 temp hp (non stacking) at no cost.

Kanens turn.

"We need to keep that thing here. None of you wan to have to deal with him without actual bodies. Nightmare if you can hear me you might want to do somethingbaout thus."

Silver Bells, with the massive surge of energy she just gained, then shoots a bright, nearly blinding, silver beam of energy at the red alicorn, a little of it grazing the smoke griffon. Both are left with frost crystals covering their body at least, and full-on covered in thick snow and ice where the beam hit them directly. She then collapses, panting from the nearly painful amount of magical energy that just passed through her.

Outside it is much the same as when you arrived at the house. A thin wisp of smoke trails upward from near the clinic, and homemade blockades are spotted here and there. Some clouds have formed in the sky, but they do nothing to block the light from the late afternoon sun, which has disappeared to the western sky behind you. Down on the ground below the window, you can see one pony, standing with its face to the wall, not moving. A barely audible giggle reaches up to you.

"Oi," calls down Night Scales, "What's got you cracking up?"

The Alcorn seems barely fazed by the attack, add he hovers at a spot just slightly different from where Bells aimed the beam. However, the energy from the beam rebounds, and refracts within the Griffon's mist. An audible scream can be heard, followed by "All... Murderers... kill me, die together..." Smokescreen comes back in full force, encompassing Bells this time. She feels slightly numb, but is otherwise unaffected.

Alicorn halves the serious damage from the attack.

reaction:

Griffin takes all the damage, and is bloodied.

Griffons turn:

Griffon is bloodied, saves against Condemnation, Bells is blinded until the end of her next turn.

Scales:
The pony on the ground slowly looks up at you. From way up on the third floor, it's hard to see much of her face beyond the wild smile. "Horseshoes... Almost! Almost only counts for horseshoes and hoof grenades!" She produces something in her hoof, too hard to see from your vantage point. You can make out that it's small, and round. She places one hoof on the wall, and throws it up at you- and it looks like it's gonna make it.

(Too busy to flavor beyond "dizzying blow straight to Alicorn's head" right now.)

Combat:

The Alicorn flinches, but comes back at Dodger with one of his signature Thunderbolts. The spell hits Dodger barely harder than a slingshot, and residual static charge lances out, striking Bells and Storm.

Coin flip: heads,  attack successful.
Dodger takes 9/2=4 damage, Storm and Bells take 2/2=1 damage each.

Saving:
Ongoing 1: 6 fail
Blind: 14 sucess
Weakened: 3 fail
Alicorn is bloodied.

Storms turn

Storm points the rod in his mouth towards Kanen.  A soothing warmth envelopes his body as his wounds close up.

Crunch:

Storm drops the rod and toss a potion towards Kanen.

"Uh-oh." With that, Night Scales moved hell away from the window and spherical object coming her way...

The pony on the ground must have had a cutie mark in stone throwing, because the object arcs straight through the window, with enough force to bounce off one of the tables, knocking over the display with the ornate comb, and then bouncing off Kanen. It lands in the corner of the room. It looks like an ordinary Pebble, but it is making an Ominous hissing sound.

Gearicks turn, btw.

Kanen realized what was  going on with Nightmare after a brief moment of stupidity but he couldn't worry about that now. He notched one of his arrows which oddly enough even for a dream world worked a little to well.

The Griffon once again recedes into the smoke, surrounding Dodger now.

Dodger is blind until end of his next turn.
Griffon gains some health again.

Dodgers turn.

Dodger tries to keep Gearick's words in mind - it's a dream. Fighting back wouldn't help. The trouble is he couldn't think of a way to stay alive without fighting back. Which sucked because he was against the idea of fighting back in the first place. So he just tried to clear the smoke from around him... which wasn't working out so well.

Combat:

The Alicorn shudders, then takes aim with another lightning bolt.

Just a heads up, I'm leaving for Monterey tomorrow. Might be busy over the next few days moving in and processing, before starting class on Thursday.

Kanen tosses a wave his staff at Kanen and throws him a potion.
