The Sun Sets

Because the poison has no defining physical symptoms beyond the behavior of those infected, there isn't much to tell. It's possible this is another stage of the poison's effect. Or it may be that something has simply scared her frozen- whether she was poisoned or not. There are no signs of any physical damage or trauma.

Scales attempts to break the grip of the pegasus...

(Athletics Check: 6 (Roll) + 9 (Bonus) = 15)

Scales manages to slip out, leaving the pegasus to wrap himself around Kanen instead.

Storm gives his best pony shrug. "I can't tell whether this or new or not. We might as well go in."

Bells finally makes her way up to the rest and the paralyzed mare. "Where did the detective go?"

Group downstairs:
While discussing this, you hear the crash of breaking glass from somewhere upstairs.

Kanen, Scales:
You hear the sound of breaking glass from somewhere else in the house.

Storm heads up the stairs heading in the general direction of the lab. "I'm going to the lab. I've got an antidote to make."

Dodger comes with, hoping the breaking glass wasn't the lab being ruined.

"Gerroff me you bugger!"

Athletics:

Kanen, though still a little woozy from being eaten and trapped in a nightmare, manages to very solidly kick his newest adversary in the haunch. The reflex from such causes the Pegasus to release his grip, and Kanen is able to slip free.

Hoping to capitalize on his spare moment, Kanen attempts to put the pegasus in a sleeper hold.
"Let's see how somepony else likes it when they're forced to go to sleep."

Athletics:

Bells follows the others in the direction of the broken glass.

Night Scales is relieved to see that she doesn't have to carry around the deer any more, but they have to leave before more zombies come. She moves next to the windows and calls out "Stop playing around you lug, we gotta split this joint through the windows now!"

Kanen: Your dizziness and still slightly weakened grip are unable to tame the pegasus, who simply flares his wings, jumps into the air, and rolls, tossing you into the wall by Scales.

Group:
You leave the mare in her frozen aberration, and ascend the stair case. When you get to the top, you are greeted by the sight of a unicorn, much in the same condition as the mare downstairs. However, in addition to being scared stiff, there is also some blood on his horn, and a few feathers stuck to his mane. A quick look around would reveal a few partial bloody hoofprints, heading straight ahead down the central corridor.

Storm knew the best thing he could do for these unfortunates was to head to the lab, so he continued his course.

"I'm not playing around. If you had to deal with what I just did then you would understand!" Kanen spit back running for the window.

Bells takes off at a gallop after the bloody hoofprints, not wanting the same thing to happen to any more ponies.

Storm (and followers):
To the right, down the hall, turning left by the door to the tower (from which you can detect yet another odd smell), and you can see down the corridor a vaguely familiar looking Pegasus pony. And on the other side of him are the Bat Pony from before, and a distinctly awake Kanen- both of whom seem to be heading for the nearest broken window...

Bells (and followers):
The hoofprints vanish after a few feet... at least on the floor. There is another one down the hall a bit more, high on the wall. A blood smear leads into Figure Head's office, and another hoofprint leads to the door to the left. Through it, the source of the shattering glass becomes apparent, as the large window facing the street here has been broken- apparently by something pony sized going through it.

"Yeah yeah, I know what you did," Scales comments back as she gets ready to fly. "How good are you at landing on your hooves?"

Bells sticks her head out the window to investigate what broke through it.

Bells looks out the window, and immediately wishes she hadn't. Down below the window, laying in the street, are two ponies wrapped up in each other, and judging by the one or two exposed bones and blood, they didn't have a very soft landing. There are a number of other ponies in the street now, and they aren't just zombie ponies. There appear to be two Canterlot Royal Guards flying towards the scene, fighting off a handful of zombies. There is also someone she recognizes as an acquaintance of Figure Head going the other way. She also just barely catches movement of something in the alleyway across the street, but it's gone too quickly to see what.

"Guods! Comb over here! It is safer, and we may be able to sote things out better if we speak!" Bells calls out, her accent betraying her at the higher volume.

"I'll live...I think." Kanen said with false courage.

Dodger follows Storm, wanting no part of whatever made those hoof prints. He sees Kanen and the bat pony about to jump.

"Surely you have a better exit strategy than that!"
