Adventures in Saint-Trotez - On Set (Episode 6)

Snipe fires a warning shot into the hoard, eyes narrowing. "Don't go into your hoard and grab more items from it to force us to leave."

Rolls:

"He probably means me absorbing the magic in his hoard's items."

The shot hits its mark fair and true. Snarl merely growls as the bullet whooshes past him, although he does slow down his backing. "I will hold my part of the deal, but you will leave now. There's no other reason for you to be here, so go away!"

Sparks gives Snarl one last stern look before turning to leave as well.

Aces heads out to. "Have a good day," he calls back over his shoulder.

Today was an odd one, that was for sure.

You leave Snarl and navigate your way through the kobold cave back to the entrance, carefully avoiding the numerous traps on your way up. Soon, you see the night sky, and you know you are out of the cave...

"Now we just have to find Highland and convince him stuff... Great." Sparks lets his shoulders slump for a moment before looking for the way back to town.

Roll:

"No skin off my nose," Aces said, scratching at his neck. "Bi' of a singe on my fur, though...bu' yeah, go ahead."

Sparks leads the way back to town. "You have a point but he still may not believe us. And doesn't he kinda hate you?"

(Yes they do...)

After a walk through the dark forest, reuniting with the river to allow you to easily find your way though, you finally arrive on the road that leads to Saint-Trotez. At that moment, you are all encapsulated in a semi-transparent bubble of magic...

"Hold it right then!" a voice calls out. From seemingly nowhere, you see Captain Highland Charge drop from the sky, with a pair of delicate and beautiful but very uncharacteristic butterfly wings now on his back. "Do you know how stupid what you are about to do is? Going to fight a dragon by yourselves?"

Snipe waves a little bit, a couple of his discharged bullet casings in his wing and gesturing to some red on his creamsicle coat "See? We beat the dragon up kind of really bad.."

Sparks flashes a grin at Highland and pulls out the dragon skull. "Yea and this is the-the whatever you call it for the dark dragon spirit thing. Say you said that you brought over some of those monks right? Can they destroy this thing?"

Snipe looks at highland, and the bubble, poking it a couple of times and sending a telepathic message to the others. "Can I steal his shield? Please?"

"No," Aces responds. Aloud: "Wha' we did was, as you said, incredibly foolhardy. You expec' anything less from us?"

Fury of the Tempest wrote:"You might want to check your eyesight Captain." Storm Blade said, a little dryly when he commented about going to face the dragons themselves was stupid. "We've come out of the forest, towards the town. Plus, we are all covered in burns. We have already faced down the dragon. It won't be bothering the town anymore."

(Just to play things safe, I will assume that, if Colter was here, he would have Necrar go back into disguise form, finding the time to prep it somewhere...)

The captain inspects the party, looking at injuries and whatnot...

Before you can say that, Varesh takes immediate control, not giving you the usual headache warning...

"Yeah, and this is the dragon's skull if you don't believe us," comments "Sparks". "Skinned it myself."

Highland drops the forcefield and pulls the skull closer to inspect it. "That's it? I'd thought it'd be much bigger than this."

"You can see now how we took it down, right?"

Highland Charge tries to think of a response, mouth half-open, but can only nod in acceptance...

"Who are you?"

The captain ponders for a bit, tapping the dragon skull to make sure it is real bone. "If the dragon is down, then there is no need to gather the troops. Pity, I was looking forward to this." He levitates the skull back to 'Sparks', who places it back onto his back. "Very well, you are dismissed. I suggest you get some medical attention." He salutes, and then flies off with those butterfly wings on his back...

Snipe promptly falls over onto the ground. "Me..."
