The Sun Sets

Dodger quickly rushes up to Gearick and Koli, kneeling down for close inspection.

"Are you all right?" asked Dodger.

Storm didn't know enough about the blade to know whether it was safe to take or not. It was obviously magical, but who knew if it wards or safeguards. He made a mental note of the blades location and exited the room. Exiting to the hallway, he saw two doors in front of him. One on his left and one on his right. He decided to try the door on his left first. He walked up to it and tried the handle...

Kanen:
"If it thinks, it is a meal. World builders, creatures of wood, stone, cloud. I am far outside my element in this place- I need not stalk and hunt and terrorize, and can instead feast openly."

Storm:
The door is unlocked. It opens into another small room and a hallway beyond- mirroring the other side of the floor. However, the room here only has one door, on your right, with another two doors down the hall on the same wall.

Storm attempts the first doorway on his left.

Meant right, my mistake. The room immediately to your right is a small walk-in closet, packed full of shelves of sheets and towels. They are amazingly dusty, and seem to never have been used.

Storm sneezes, then closes the door and moves on to the next door on his right.

This door leads to a full bathroom, complete with two sinks. There are two other doors in it, one leading left to the next room, one straight ahead into another.

With his vision still blurry and Gearick's ears ringing, Dodger didn't think it was the best idea to go out right now.

"Then... I suppose we'd best wait until your magic is refilled," said Dodger. "Unless you wish to regroup with the rest of our band."

"Well unfortunately I do not have any plans on being eaten today. I would really like to have you as an friend. Been dealing with all kinds of crazy stuff within the last few hours and it would be nice to have an ally that could help me beat haeksenn. So I guess I'll ask this before my power washes away from you, will you be my friend?"

Persuasion:

"If I had to guess, I would assume he would be on this floor," said Dodger. "We should go to him."

Dodger gently readjusts Koli so she doesn't fall off of Gearick and heads out of Figure Head's lab, looking for Storm.

Storm:
The bathroom is fairly clean, and has signs of recent and continuous use by at least one pony- a few shampoo bottles, towels, everything you would see in a bathroom. A potentially feminine bathroom. As such, there doesn't seem to be anything in the way of magical mysteries, chemical oddities, or dangerous enchanted traps. Finally coming to the doors leading into different rooms, the one straight ahead ins unlocked, while the one on the left is locked from the other side. Curiously, though, there is also a deadbolt locking mechanism on this side of the door, which is unbarred.

Dodger, Gearick:
Heading left, you turn a corner at the end of the hall. The hallway continues, with a few busted windows looking out over the street, and a large painting on the wall. The only door here is at the end of the wall, which is open, and leads into a study. The place looks worse off than the rest of the upper floor, more like it was ransacked than it damaged in the explosion. There are two doors, one to your left, presumably leading into the central hallway, and one ahead of you, probably leading to the opposite hallway.
(Assumption) The left hand door opens into the central hallway- you can see the stairs at the end of the hall. There are three doors, two on your left and one on your right. The closest is on your left, but it's locked.

Kanen:
There is a sound reminiscient of ethereal gears screeching to a halt. Ravenous continues to stare at you for a few seconds. "That.. is an unexpected response. What do you mean, 'be your friend'? What function would that serve?"

Dodger pulls a lockpick out of his saddlebag and goes to work on the door.

Dodger:
The door clicks open easily enough. The room here looks more like an access hall than an actual room, at least on this end. It's very narrow, fitting between the lab and the hallway behind you. Entering it, you can see through a few small windows into the lab itself, and to the right on the same wall is a door into the lab. It must have been hidden, covered, or otherwise not apparent from the other side. At the far right end of the room is another door, and there are a few crates and barrels at the left. There is also a small shelf at chest level on the wall, holding a small ledger.

Storm knocks on the door to his left in a fit of curiosity.

No answer.

Storm wasn't really expecting an answer, but after giving his best pony shrug, moves into the unlocked room ahead of him.

"Well being friends doesnt really serve a purpose other than just being one. A friend is just someone that you like and trust. But I was just thinking that it would be nice to know you more, I'm assuming that something here was forcing you to stay and it would be nice to know more about something that could eat anything."

Storm:
The next room is larger, and looks more like a dorm room than a private room. there are two beds in here, each with an accompanying desk and chest of drawers. There is a half wall dividing this section of the room from the other, and the other section is nearly identical, with the exception of a young mare, laying in the doorway leading back into the other room (the one with the locked door in the bathroom). It looks like she collapsed, knocked unconscious by something as she went.

Kanen:

"I know what a friend is. I don't have a use for one, though. But rest assured, wooded, I have a theory that those I devour may become a part of me, so you would get to learn all there is about me that way." Ravenous begins moving towards you again.

Dodger, looking around the room, spots the ledger and picks it up, reading it.
