"They headed to the outskirts after you left. Towards the southern end, looked like, I'm sure they're still there." The other guard glances back at you two, but doesn't say anything. "Uh... are you two alright? You look like someone blew out the candles on your birthday cake."

The two of you begin heading towards the outskirts, and pass a few slightly damaged houses on your way into the neighborhood. The streets are mostly quiet, but you can't be certain which way the other group went.

Roll perception, or maybe do some abilities. Short of empathetic I don't think anyone's used one in months.

Bells looks around, then sighs and starts working a spell to track the most recent paths taken by ponies passing through this area - like hoofprints in the snow.

I sit and watch Bells as she begins to cast her spell. Unsure of what I can do to help, I decide to try and offer some encouragement. "So you're pretty good at magic, huh? That's awesome."

Bells is able to project a snowy backdrop over the whole street, complete with hoofprints- apparently, the hoofprints of everyone who's walked through here in the last week or so. There are hundreds of tracks heading several directions, and Bells is unable to narrow it down.

"Oh come on, I'm sure you can get the hang of it..." I say, thinking. "Umm... I guess I could fly up and look around? That shouldn't be too hard."

"Well..." I unfurl my wings, which have been sleekly folded against my side until now. They look a little undersized. "Not really. My wings are small, and I'm not good at it yet. I can fly a little bit, up in the air, but I can't go very far or very fast." I blush a bit, but hide it by flapping once or twice, and then unsteadily flapping into the air, going up about 20 feet and looking around.

I blush hard at the Bee remark, but manage to stay airborne long enough to spot a few ponies. I drop- a bit too quickly- and land in front of Bells. "Someone's that way..." I mumble, blushing furiously and not looking at her fluffed up face.
