Player: Crimson Doom/Warrior of Many Faces
Stefan is, first and foremost, scared of griffons. Yes, you heard right. Raised by pegasi, Stefan is rather frightened of griffons due to a frightening encounter with one Gilda. He’s not too fond of pegasi, either, due to the large feathered wings, but he can function just fine around pegasi; griffons literally make him too scared to move.
Beyond that, however, Stefan is a tough guy. He’s quite sure of his power and maneuverability, considering his lion’s strength and eagle’s flight to be the only thing he really needs. Friends? What’re those? Worthy rivals, maybe…
Kinda dumb and tends to miss obvious things, but is great to have along in a fight. Rather prone to practical jokes at the expense of others. This distresses his adoptive parents, Tornado Chaser and Scarlet Stunt, quite a bit.

Character Features
Racial Abilities
Half Eagle
Griffons can walk on clouds and fly with poor maneuverability (you take -10 penalty to precision and athletics skills while flying). It takes practice to fly with grace and options for that appear in the utility talents.
Half Lion – Daily
A griffon can let out a mighty roar, terrifying target creature for one minute. Creatures gain +5 to persuasion checks when attempting to intimidate a terrified creature.
All Awesome – Daily
Once per day a Griffon may turn a critical failure into a critical success.
Sisters of the Sky
Griffons may choose talents normally exclusive to pegasi. (However, taking weather-related talents like 10 Seconds Flat doesn’t do anything for griffons as they do not have the Weather-Crafter racial trait.)
Utility Talents
Flight School
Your flying improves from poor maneuverability to average maneuverability (you take a -5 penalty to precision and athletics skills while flying).
Tons of Practice [Cloud Chaser]
Your flying improves from average maneuverability to good maneuverability (you take no penalty to precision or athletics checks while flying).
King of the Sky [Flying Ace]
Your flying improves from good maneuverability to awesome maneuverability (you gain a +5 bonus to precision or athletics checks while flying and you can hover).
Burst of Power [Yee-Haw!] – Magic Interrupt
Trigger – You or an Ally you can see makes an Athletics check.
Effect – After seeing the result of the roll, you can choose to add a +20 bonus to the check.
Burst of Speed [The Rainbow-Dash] -Magic
You can move up to twenty times your normal speed for the next hour as long as you’re not in combat.

Roll a d100. Activate the corresponding effect on the Tons of Fun effect table. (Yes, this is like a Rod of Wonder. DMs are encouraged to create their own “Tons of Fun” tables.)

Deal 1d10 to target creature. If you roll a 6 or higher you may copy this effect, choosing a new target for the copy.
[-2] Lashing Out [Slashback] –Immediate Interrupt
Trigger – A creature hits you with an attack.
Deal 1d12 damage to the triggering creature.
[-2] Dirty Fighting [Where it Hurts] –Free Action
Trigger - You attack an enemy suffering from a save-ends effect.
The triggering attack deals 1d12 extra damage.
[-7] Predatory Fury [Midnight’s Blade]
For the rest of the battle, you may reroll all 1s on damage dice and your attacks deal 1d10 extra damage.
Greatness of Griffons (<Buccaneer Blaze>)
8 on d8: Stun target enemy until the end of your next turn.
10 on d10: Deal 2d8 to target creature and that creature is blinded until the end of your next turn.
12 on d12: Deal 2d10 damage to all enemies and 1d10 damage to yourself.

*laughs* Seriously though, I actually am torn between those races and a griffin. Tempted to make a minotaur too, but they're sadly not broken-in-half anymore with the 10 hp boost and similar.

Double-Playtesting of the Griffon Race would be a good thing too - since it gathers us twice the data. However, I'm probably going to try out one your racial options.

Hmmmm, this doesn't seem to be gathering the steam I'd have thought it would. Is it that too many people here are already in games? Don't want to do pbp games? Or is it just the lack of actual ponies?

Probably a mix of all of them. =)
Don't worry, we can get started with three players I think. And that means I'll have time to build a character. I'll probably make a donkey and see if it's playable, just to decide. Won't take long.

As for combat stuff, we could use healing/defendery stuff. Though, I'm not sure it really matters as long as we don't have full overlap.
Edit: I should probably have no assume Hooves of Fury would stay the way it was when I looked at it once. Ok, changing that to Fireswath.

*laughs* Well, I didn't exactly take either. I'm playtesting some of the elements that I haven't exactly seen used much yet in sessions - to find out if they're appropriately balanced.
I'm trying out a Royal Command build (though I'll probably change it to Pincer Maneuver if we don't get 4 players) for my ultimate, along with some of the new Equine Power options and a "best-for-situation" fireball, fireswath, psychic anomaly combination for various encounters.
Balthazar's build is now up.

Excellent. Why don't we go with rolling admissions too? That way we can keep the doors open and get started sooner rather than later... And if people want to join in, we can work them into the story.
